    A completely delightful day!

This tour was a fantastic experience. If you only have one day to see Iceland, this is THE tour. From the start, Aldan was informative and considerate of our preferences and needs. With his guidance we were able to create a perfect day to see everything we wanted in our time allotted. During the drive, Aldan entertained us with tales of living in Iceland, its history and modern customs.

Response from the operator: Dear Kathryn, Thank you for choosing us for your private Golden Circle Tour. We’re delighted Aldan was able to tailor the experience around your group’s interests and needs, creating the perfect day within the time available. It’s wonderful to hear his stories about Iceland’s history, culture and everyday life added to the journey. We hope to welcome you back again. Kindest Regards, Marta EastWest Customer Service

    Private Golden Circle Tour

We booked a private Golden Circle tour for June 19 for our group of 7. Our guide was Einar. He was awesome. We were picked up at our apartment in Reykjavik and had the best day. My mom has mobility issues - she uses a transport wheelchair when she cannot walk far. Einar was very kind and attentive to her needs making sure she saw so much. He was the best guide that we had the entire trip! Beautiful scenery with a stop for lunch at the tomato farm plus the ice cream at the dairy farm. You cannot go wrong with EastWest !

Response from the operator: Dear Joyce, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that your private Golden Circle tour was such a memorable experience for your group. It is especially heartwarming to know that Einar took such great care of your mum, ensuring she was comfortable and able to enjoy as much of Iceland's beautiful scenery as possible. We are also pleased that you enjoyed the stops at the tomato farm and the dairy farm along the way. We will be sure to pass along your kind words to Einar, who will be delighted to hear them. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you and your family back to Iceland again in the future. Kind Regards, Clare EastWest Team Member

    Ask for Leroy.

If you’re looking for a private tour of the Golden Circle, I highly recommend EastWest. Not the cheapest but you definitely get what you pay for. Our driver/guide Leroy was excellent from pick up to drop off. The day was fully customisable to our needs and there were no time limits at each site. 10/10

Response from the operator: Hello, Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your private Golden Circle tour and that the flexibility of the day made it such a memorable experience. It is wonderful to know that Leroy looked after you so well from pickup to drop-off and helped create a day tailored to your interests. We will be sure to pass along your kind words to him. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back to Iceland again in the future. Kind Regards, Clare EastWest Team Member

Amazing day touring the Golden Circle

My husband and I had a fabulous time on our private Golden Circle tour with Smari. We were able to travel on our own timetable and had the flexibility to add stops as we wanted. Smari was an amazing guide; he was very personable and fun to travel with which made the tour all the more enjoyable. The lunch at Frioheimar tomato farm was a highlight as well and should not be missed.

Response from the operator: Hi there, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear you had such a fabulous experience on your private Golden Circle tour. The flexibility to travel at your own pace and personalise the day is exactly what makes these tours so special. Smari will be very happy to hear your kind words. His friendly and easygoing approach really helps create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. It is also great to know the lunch at Friðheimar was a highlight, it is always a favourite stop. We hope to welcome you back to Iceland again in the future! Warm regards, Marc EastWest Team Member

    Highly recommend!

My family of 11 had a wonderful experience with Eastwest tours! We did a private tour of Golden Circle plus a visit to the Secret Lagoon. Our tour guide, Einar, was absolutely wonderful. Incredibly knowledgeable and patient, and went out of his way to ensure we had the best day. I would highly recommend Eastwest! All their communication was fast and helpful, the bus was nice quality, and the actual day was filled with activities and sights and was very thoughtfully planned.

Response from the operator: Dear Jessica, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that your family had such a memorable private Golden Circle tour. It is fantastic to know that Einar's knowledge, patience, and thoughtful approach helped make the day so special for everyone. We also truly appreciate your kind words about our communication, the quality of the vehicle, and the planning that went into your experience. Your recommendation means a great deal to us, and we hope to welcome you and your family back to Iceland in the future. Kind Regards, Clare EastWest Team Member

Tailor-Made Golden Circle Tour – Private & Fully Customizable: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.

How much does Tailor-Made Golden Circle Tour – Private & Fully Customizable cost?

    +

Prices start at $1310 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tailor-Made Golden Circle Tour – Private & Fully Customizable take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.

Is Tailor-Made Golden Circle Tour – Private & Fully Customizable worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tailor-Made Golden Circle Tour – Private & Fully Customizable?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tailor-Made Golden Circle Tour – Private & Fully Customizable suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tailor-Made Golden Circle Tour – Private & Fully Customizable?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tailor-Made Golden Circle Tour – Private & Fully Customizable start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?

    +

On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Reykjavik?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
