The first stop is the little scenic bay, home to the Holy Monastery of Archangel Michael of PANORMITIS. As you approach the Monastery, you will hear Church bells ringing, warmly welcoming all the pilgrims, explorers, holidaymakers & curious travelers. The Holy Monastery is a treasury of the Greek-Orthodox culture. The contemporary church was built in 1783 and hosts the miraculous all silver-plated icon of Archangel Michael. The main architectural feature of the Monastery is it's impressive bell tower, a mixture of Baroque and Renaissance styles. The monastery also houses two museums with a large collection of ecclesiastical art, icons, ship model offerings and important objects of the island's folk culture. Admire the 18th c. wall paintings, light a candle for good luck and walk around to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this holy place.

The trip itself was...
The trip itself was lovely, organised and everything on time. Unfortunately I was incredibly sea sick the whole time so I couldn’t enjoy myself.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review. We're so glad to hear that you found the trip lovely, well organised, and punctual. However, we're truly sorry that you experienced seasickness and couldn't enjoy it as fully as you deserved. We completely understand how that can affect the experience, and we truly appreciate your honesty. We hope that on a future trip, perhaps on calmer waters, we'll have the chance to welcome you back for a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.

A great day out on a fast boat...suitable for all ages
Great day out on the Doll boat... quick journey to Symi transfers from hotel to harbour snd return We stopped for a swim first then onto Symi Plenty of time to have a good look around the harbour
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a kind and detailed 5-star review – we truly appreciate your positive feedback and your enthusiasm for your day out! While your wonderful description of a fast boat trip to Symi sounds absolutely delightful, we just wanted to gently mention that your experience seems to have been with another provider (possibly the "Doll boat" you mentioned), as we don't currently operate that particular boat or tour. That said, we're so happy you had such a great day exploring Symi, and we really appreciate you sharing your experience here. If you ever find yourself back in Rhodes and would like to travel with us at Manos Going, we would be absolutely delighted to welcome you on one of our tours. Thank you again for your kindness, and we wish you many more fantastic adventures!

Beautiful Island great service.
This trip or service is exactly as it is described, an efficient method of reaching Symi both the monastery and town. The service ran to time, gave sufficient time at both stops to explore, the boat had both toilet facilities and a great bar for teas, coffees, beers etc. There were three levels of seating top level were all open to the elements, and lower floors had a mixture of cabins and open areas, the stairs up to higher level were steep and not suitable for this with mobility issues. If you wish to go to Symi island I would recommend this company, great service and very fair price.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful 5-star review. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your trip to Symi and that you found our service efficient, comfortable, and good value. It’s great to know you appreciated the facilities on board and the time provided at both the Monastery and Symi Town. Your detailed feedback about the seating and accessibility will also be very helpful to future travelers, and we truly appreciate you mentioning it. We’re thrilled you would recommend us and hope to welcome you on board again for another memorable journey.

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Symi Island from Rhodes with transfers from Ialysos and Ixia: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rhodes.
How much does Symi Island from Rhodes with transfers from Ialysos and Ixia cost?
+
Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rhodes usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Symi Island from Rhodes with transfers from Ialysos and Ixia take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rhodes is not rushed.
Is Symi Island from Rhodes with transfers from Ialysos and Ixia worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 189 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rhodes, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Symi Island from Rhodes with transfers from Ialysos and Ixia?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Symi Island from Rhodes with transfers from Ialysos and Ixia suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Symi Island from Rhodes with transfers from Ialysos and Ixia?
+
Around 66 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rhodes can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rhodes and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Symi Island from Rhodes with transfers from Ialysos and Ixia start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rhodes within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rhodes?
+
On Outty we rank every Rhodes experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Makarounas Fishing Boat Trip with swimming stop and BBQ on board, Rhodes Exclusive Swim Cruise Cocktail Open bar & Gourmet Buffet, Athens cruise: Agistri, Moni/Metopi, Aegina with lunch & drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rhodes?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rhodes?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
