About this experience
WEB APP — opens in any phone browser. No App Store / Google Play download. iPhone & Android. Sydney's first self-guided audio tour that runs from a link — nothing to download or update. It narrates 150+ Sydney attractions automatically and tells you which way to look. A non-stop Australia podcast fills the gaps between landmarks (~9 hrs total), and as you near each place it says where to look ("look right" / "look left") — like a Sydney guide of 20 years beside you: a real human voice, not a robot. Press Start Tour: GPS and Guide Mode turn on and the interests picker opens (Historical, Nature & Beach, Shopping, Wildlife, Photo) — press Done and drive, cycle, walk or bus. In a car, play it through the speakers via Bluetooth/AUX and mount your phone as the map; commentary plays as you pass each place. No silence, no fumbling with an app. Perfect for cruise passengers, rental-car drivers, cyclists and walkers — works in any car. Book now — access link emailed after booking.

Perfect pocketable companion to your Sydney trip
I was very surprised how well technology worked helping me to navigate Sydney’s attractions. It’s entertaining, smart, knowledgeable and easy to use. I’m bilingual and could switch between languages, change objects of interest, plan my trip etc. One of the features I liked is the filling the gaps between attractions with historical facts and stories about Australian way of life. It has more features than I tried and left a good impression

A Fantastic Way to Explore Sydney at Your Own Pace
This self-guided audio tour exceeded my expectations. It was incredibly easy to use, with clear navigation and engaging commentary that brought Sydney’s history, landmarks and hidden gems to life. The flexibility to explore at my own pace was a huge advantage, I could stop whenever I wanted, enjoy the scenery, then continue the tour without feeling rushed. The route covers a wide variety of iconic sights as well as places I probably would have missed otherwise. The audio quality was excellent and the information was interesting without being overwhelming. For the price, it offers exceptional value and is a great alternative to traditional guided tours. Whether you’re visiting Sydney for the first time or you’re a local wanting to discover more about the city, I highly recommend this experience.

The New Way to see Sydney - Impressed!
I rented a car and decided to try this audio guide. I absolutely loved it! The best part is that there is no need to download any apps — you just pay, receive a link and you are ready to go. I spent the entire day driving around Sydney following their recommended route and couldn't be happier with my purchase. It honestly feels like having a highly professional, personal tour guide right in your pocket. The guide told and showed me so many fascinating things that I never would have found or seen on my own. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share this! It genuinely made my day to read. The "no download" approach was a deliberate design choice — I wanted travellers to be on the road in under 60 seconds, not wrestling with App Store accounts in a rental car park. Hearing that you spent the entire day driving the recommended route is exactly the experience we built this for. Wishing you many more adventures in Sydney whenever you return!

Amazing audio tour for Sydney visitors!
Visited first time Sydney. We booked Andrew's audio guide on Viator and rented car to save $$$. Best decision! The link came by email very quickly. We opened it on phone, no app needed. Drive from Circular Quay to Bondi and the audio guide told us about every famous place — Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Rocks, Royal Botanic Garden, Mrs Macquarie's Chair, Bondi Beach. Best part — audio plays automatically when you arrive at each place. We did not need to press anything. Just walk and listen. Also used in taxi to airport — guide told us about places we passed. Andrew is licensed Sydney guide, 20 years experience. Very good English, easy to understand. Worth every dollar! 5 stars, highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Natalya! Reading this made my day. Glad the auto-play feature worked smoothly for you — that was the hardest part to engineer (GPS triggering each landmark as you approach, with no buttons to press while driving). The Circular Quay → Bondi drive is one of the best routes to experience the audio guide, and using it in the taxi to the airport was a clever move — most visitors never think to do that. Wishing you safe travels home, and if you ever return to Sydney I'd love to host you on a guided tour in person. — Andrew

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sydney Self-Guided Audio Tour - 150+ sites for Walk/Drive/Cycle: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.
How much does Sydney Self-Guided Audio Tour - 150+ sites for Walk/Drive/Cycle cost?
+
Prices start at $49 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sydney Self-Guided Audio Tour - 150+ sites for Walk/Drive/Cycle take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.
Is Sydney Self-Guided Audio Tour - 150+ sites for Walk/Drive/Cycle worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sydney Self-Guided Audio Tour - 150+ sites for Walk/Drive/Cycle?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sydney Self-Guided Audio Tour - 150+ sites for Walk/Drive/Cycle suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 1-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Sydney Self-Guided Audio Tour - 150+ sites for Walk/Drive/Cycle?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sydney Self-Guided Audio Tour - 150+ sites for Walk/Drive/Cycle start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sydney?
+
On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sydney?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sydney?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
