A fantastic way to experience Sydney Harbour and a Tall Ship!!!
A great way to experience Sydney Harbour and a Tall Ship! Saw all the sights, helped crew with the sails and climbed the mast! This a good way to dip your toe in and find your sea legs! Lovely canape and wine evening cruise followed by a night aboard. Canapes make for a light supper so bring snacks if you need something more substantial. Unfortunately our bedding was wet when we retired but crew helped to replace it all all before heading to bed. Sleeping aboard is definitely an experience. You'll have to decide if it's for you. However it was amazing to wake up on the harbour! Fantastic and substantial breakfast buffet was supplied (bacon, eggs, tomatos, mushrooms, Turkish rolls, cereal, muesli, fruit, yoghurt, tea, coffee and got chocolate). We then enjoyed a beautiful morning walk around Goat Island with a knowledgeable guide who took us through it's history from the first fleet. There's exceptional views of Sydney Harbour from the island and I found the history fascinating. I think there needs to be more yours like this on offer from the harbour authorities and National Parks. Dropped back at Circular Quay at 10.30am, heart of the city for more exploration of you wish. Tour departed at 4.45pm the previous day, so a great way to fill an evening in Sydney, particular for tourists with no cars to worry about parking. Viator was confusing with the times for this experience. Viator offered the same experience departing at 5pm and 5.30pm. However there is only the one ship/experience from Tall Ships Sydney leaving at 5pm. Luckily Tall Ships communicated prior to the day to advise to be there at 4.45pm for a 5pm departure. So make sure you follow their information once booked on Viator. Highly recommended experience!
Response from the operator: Hello, Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review! We're thrilled you had such a memorable experience aboard sailing Sydney Harbour, climbing the mast, enjoying canapés and wine at sunset, and waking up on the water truly is something special. We appreciate you highlighting both the highlights and the helpful tips for future guests and following our direct communication for timing. We're sorry to hear about the bedding issue but glad our crew was able to sort it quickly for you. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the breakfast and the Goat Island tour. We agree, the views and history there are incredible. Thanks again for the recommendation and for helping others know what to expect. We'd love to welcome you back aboard anytime! Kind regards, Sydney Harbour Tall Ships

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sydney Harbour Overnight Cruise with Onboard Accommodation: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sydney.
How much does Sydney Harbour Overnight Cruise with Onboard Accommodation cost?
+
Prices start at $293 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sydney usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sydney Harbour Overnight Cruise with Onboard Accommodation take?
+
Plan for about 18 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sydney is not rushed.
Is Sydney Harbour Overnight Cruise with Onboard Accommodation worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 1 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sydney Harbour Overnight Cruise with Onboard Accommodation?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sydney Harbour Overnight Cruise with Onboard Accommodation suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 18-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sydney Harbour Overnight Cruise with Onboard Accommodation?
+
Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 18-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sydney Harbour Overnight Cruise with Onboard Accommodation start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sydney?
+
On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Depart Syd: Blue Mountains Best All Inclusive with Local Guide, Blue Mountain Small Group Tour All Inclusive. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sydney?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sydney?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
