Beautiful day of relaxation and discovery
I was contacted by the organizer a few days after booking to confirm the pick up time at the hotel. Pickup on time. Nothing wrong. Pick-up and transfer from Playacar is a bit slow (counting 1h30), but it is still reasonable considering the price and distance. I recommend the morning departure so that I can photograph the cenotes in their most natural beauty before there are too many people. I arrived at the opening for 9am and the first return was at 3pm (the second at 5.30pm). I chose 3pm and I was afraid of being bored for 6 hours on site, but ultimately not at all. I recommend starting with an hour-long photo walk to go around the park at an uncrowded hour. Then get into swimming gear, take a shower and rent a locker (MXN 100 not included), then wait (max 15 min.) at the entrance until a guided tour starts. A park guide will make you put on a lifejacket (mandatory and included) and swim around the 2 underground cenotes (spectacular). Some participants could not swim, but this is not a problem with the vest. You're safe and the guides are looking out for you. The guide will also give you some time to swim in the 2 open-air cenotes (less spectacular but more pleasant to swim in). The tour (swimming and walking between cenotes) lasts about 1h30. You will have already spent 3 good hours. Counting a small meal, you will have 2 hours free then to go back swimming as long as you like in the 2 open cenotes. By the time you dry out and dress up, the 6 hours will pass quickly and you will not be bored. Good to know: - mosquito repellent and sunscreen are prohibited; unfortunately, mosquitoes are omnipresent, so there is little you can do to protect yourself, -the shower is compulsory, - one cannot enter the 2 underground cenotes without a vest and without a guide; you are therefore obliged to join a guided tour (included in the price) if you want to enter and it would be a shame not to go there. It is written in the rules posted at the entrance, but it was not clearly explained at the pre-visit briefing and I only saw it afterwards, which led to some confusion about how things would go. My only regret is that I wasted time understanding how the tour was going, including the obligation to guide visitors to the underground cenotes and when and where the tours began. Overall, a beautiful day and good value for money.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your detailed and thoughtful review. We’re pleased to hear that the communication prior to the tour, the punctual hotel pickup, and the overall organization met your expectations, and that you enjoyed a full and well-paced day at the cenotes despite the travel time. Your tips about arriving early, taking time for photography, and planning the visit on-site are extremely valuable and will certainly help future visitors make the most of their experience. We’re also glad to know that the guided visit to the underground cenotes stood out for you and that the safety measures helped everyone feel comfortable, even those who were not confident swimmers. We appreciate your feedback regarding the clarity of the initial briefing about the requirement to join a guided tour to access the underground cenotes. This is an important point, and your comments help us identify areas where we can improve communication to ensure a smoother experience for future guests. Thank you again for highlighting the overall value for money and for sharing such a well-rounded review. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again in the future.

Cenotes
We had a guide through all the cenotes that was very nice. The cenotes itself were very cool, there were 2 open and 2 covered ones.
Response from the operator: Hello Nikki Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! We are very happy you had a great time with us in the cenotes! Hope to see you back soon! Muchas gracias!

Inaccurate Description. Ripoff. Van ride with drop-off outside a resort park.
Don't be fooled. This "tour" is a crowded van ride to a local water park. This tour drops you off outside of a little-known resort space with a couple of small cenotes. It does not include lunch, locker storage, or any knowledgeable guides. The price of entry to the park and a van ride to it is $20-30 USD if paid in pesos.
Response from the operator: Dear Sarah_M Thank you for your comments, I'm sorry you had a bad experience on this tour, we provide this excursion in a Natural Park with 4 cenotes, your tour was with lunch included please if you don't took your lunch let us know because it was included on your booking. I will verify on my side what happened because your opinion is very important for us! I´m sorry for the inconveniences All best!

Swim in 4 different Cenotes in Casa Tortuga Park: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.
How much does Swim in 4 different Cenotes in Casa Tortuga Park cost?
+
Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Swim in 4 different Cenotes in Casa Tortuga Park take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.
Is Swim in 4 different Cenotes in Casa Tortuga Park worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.2/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Swim in 4 different Cenotes in Casa Tortuga Park?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Swim in 4 different Cenotes in Casa Tortuga Park suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Swim in 4 different Cenotes in Casa Tortuga Park?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Swim in 4 different Cenotes in Casa Tortuga Park start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?
+
On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ride to a life changing cenotes tour, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation, From Playa del Carmen ATV Adventure with Ziplines, Cenote. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Swim in 4 different Cenotes in Casa Tortuga Park?
