Beautiful sunrise
We had such an amazing hiking experience in Phoenix with Henry as our guide! He was absolutely fantastic from start to finish—friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and made the entire hike so much fun. He knew so much about the desert, the landscape, and the area, and you could tell he genuinely enjoys sharing it with people. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, especially watching the sunrise over the mountains and seeing the incredible saguaros along the trail. 🌵🌅 Henry made sure we were comfortable, safe, and able to enjoy the hike at our own pace, which made the experience even better. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Arizona! If you’re looking for a hiking guide in the Phoenix area, I would 100% recommend Henry. Thank you for an unforgettable morning and some absolutely gorgeous views! ❤️🥾🌵

Great Sunrise Hike
This was a great experience! Our guide, Jennifer was a knowledgeable and experienced hiker. She adapted the hike to our lower experience level. We were able to see the gorgeous sunrise and learn about the mountains and the animals and plant life in the area. Also, Jennifer took great photos, so we have wonderful mementos of our hike. Highly recommend.
Response from the operator: J.C., watching the Sonoran Desert waking up is pure magic, and we’re so glad you were there to experience it! 🌅 We're glad your guide Jennifer made sure to tailor the route and pace to your liking. We hope to see you again for a Stunning Sunset guided hike on next time! 🌵📸 — Matt Kalina | Owner | Mad Desert Trekking | Scottsdale, AZ | Intense Human-Powered Sonoran Desert Adventures 🏜🦎☀️🌵

This is one you won’t want to miss
This was an absolute highlight of our visit. Guide Steve Hill took us on a tailored hike, sharing his incredible knowledge of the area’s history and folklore, as well as plant and animal life. We would have missed so much without his keen eye and thoughtful curated stops along the path to point out details. We saw the most gorgeous surround sound sunset and even a full moon. And to top it off Steve took gorgeous photos and a video reel of the adventure and shared them with us after the hike. We would not hesitate to sign up for more adventures with Steve on our next visit, and this is a hike you don’t want to miss — fun for all experience levels and can be customized to how far you want to go and what you want to see!
Response from the operator: Tara, thank you so much for this incredible shout-out! 😊 We’re thrilled your guide Steve Hill made your visit to Phoenix and Scottsdale the highlight. There’s nothing quite like an Arizona sunset to make you feel like you’re in a movie, and we're glad he captured the "behind-the-scenes" for you! Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Spectacular Sunrise Guided Hike in Phoenix, Arizona: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phoenix.
How much does Spectacular Sunrise Guided Hike in Phoenix, Arizona cost?
+
Prices start at $107 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phoenix usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Spectacular Sunrise Guided Hike in Phoenix, Arizona take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phoenix is not rushed.
Is Spectacular Sunrise Guided Hike in Phoenix, Arizona worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phoenix, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Spectacular Sunrise Guided Hike in Phoenix, Arizona?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Spectacular Sunrise Guided Hike in Phoenix, Arizona suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Spectacular Sunrise Guided Hike in Phoenix, Arizona?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phoenix can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phoenix and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Spectacular Sunrise Guided Hike in Phoenix, Arizona start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phoenix within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phoenix?
+
Phoenix runs on desert experiences: sunrise hot air balloon lifts over the Sonoran, Camelback and South Mountain hikes, off-road Tonto Forest tours and day trips to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Heat safety and start times decide whether a tour is good, so we weight timing detail in the ranking. On Outty we rank every Phoenix experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kayaking the Salt River Foxtail Trip, Grand Canyon with Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon Van Tour, Phoenix Hot Air Balloon Ride at Sunrise. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phoenix?
+
November to April. Summer tours run at dawn or not at all. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phoenix?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
