    4 Leopards...unbelievable!

Srimal absolute legend and definitely a driver and guide that will work hard to get you everything a safari in Yala can offer. For us it was a prompt pick up at 5am from our hotel, onto the park for a 6am start - where we saw 4 leopards in the end! 2 of them within a very bushy area so we needed Srimals keen eyes ..but then we had the opportunity to watch a leopard stalk then kill a wounded calf, before another leopard joined in on the action. The most intense 45 mins ever and Srimal made sure we were in exactly the right position. Back to the hotel for Lunch....Fantastic Thanks...feel free to ask questions

    Amazing safari!

Our half day safari was one of the best ones we experienced in Sri Lanka. Right from the pick up until the drop off time, everything went as scheduled. Our driver was driving with slower pace as opposed to other jeeps just speeding up and he was actively looking for animals to show us. Safari requires patience and waiting in certain areas known for animal activity, as he said. We were able to see a leopard coming to drink water from reservoir, an elephant family, a jungle fowl (national bird of Sri Lanka), water buffalos, deers, mongoose, monkeys and lots of different kind of birds and water fowl. Definitely recommend when visiting Sri Lanka.

    A must do

    • Su was a very nice guide and made its best efforts to arrive first and avoid the big crowds • We were able to see leopards (from a distance), elephants, crocodiles, water buffalos, deers, monitor lizards, between other (but we did not see the sloth bear)

    An awesome experience

Passion and Professionalism. We had a great time with our guide Ish. He really cares about giving the best experience to his customers. He knows the Park in all of its spots, and thanks to this we managed to see a Leopard. Furthermore, he is an expert driver, and thanks to his skill, even driving on the worst roads was exceptionally comfortable.

    Wonderful safari experience

Thank you for a wonderful morning with Janaka Safaris. Communication was great and Su picked us up on time from our hotel. When we saw the lines of jeeps at the park entrance we were a little concerned but Su quickly took us away from the other jeeps once we entered the park. We saw wild elephants, leopards and many other animals and birds without crowds around. We really enjoyed the breakfast too.

How much does Special leopard & Elephants safari - Yala - 04.30 am to 11.30 am cost?

    +

Prices start at $8 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Galle usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Special leopard & Elephants safari - Yala - 04.30 am to 11.30 am take?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 91 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 219 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Galle, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Is Special leopard & Elephants safari - Yala - 04.30 am to 11.30 am suitable for kids and families?

    +

Around 77 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Galle and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Galle?

    +

On Outty we rank every Galle experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full day / Half Day WildlifeAdventure in Yala-National-Park, Sea waves sri lankan cooking class, Galle Unawatuna Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Galle?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Galle?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
