Not great
The crew was nice and professional. The boat was super clean. We went about a mile offshore and did circles and figure eights for half of the ride. The other half was spent going out of the harbor and back. We got a few highlights on who owns some of the houses there. That was the tour. I wouldn’t do it again or recommend.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear you found our crew to be friendly and professional and that you enjoyed the cleanliness of the boat. We're sorry the experience didn't meet your expectations. Our sightseeing cruise is designed to offer a relaxing ride with views of the Atlantic, Fort Lauderdale's waterways, and commentary about the area's famous homes and landmarks. We appreciate your feedback and will share it with our team as we continue working to provide the best possible experience for our guests. Thank you for cruising with us.

TERRIBLE SERVICE
AVOID - i booked this and within 2 hours they emailed to cancel due to lack of bookings, they obviously knew at the time of booking it would be short and still allowed me to book it. They are now refusing to give me a refund with a stupid excuse of it not being cancelled due to weather. Absolutely shocked at the lack of response and care taken towards a paying customer visiting from abroad! I am still waiting for an update.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're very sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating it must have been to have your cruise canceled while visiting from abroad. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and for the lack of communication you experienced afterward. Please contact us directly with your booking information if you haven't already, and our team will be happy to look into the status of your case. We appreciate your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to make things right.

Sky Rocket 100% recommend
Amazing early evening boat tour. We arrived in fort lauderdale from England to visit family. With the heat, we thought a boat tour would be perfect to see a side of this beautiful place very special. And The Sky Rocket crew did not disappoint. Everyone on board were so lovely. Jude especially Impressed us with is personality and charm. Not only entertaining the adults but also the children.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so glad you chose to spend part of your visit to Fort Lauderdale with us and that you enjoyed seeing the city from the water. We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to Jude—he'll be thrilled to hear he made such a positive impression on both the adults and the children. We hope to welcome you back the next time you're visiting from England!

Very disappointed
I was emailed early morning day of tour to be told the tour was canceled due to lack of participation. I ended up taking another tour on the water and saw a boat ride past us, when I called about a refund I was then told my payment didn't happen, even though I can see in my bank account that the money came out.
Response from the operator: Crystal, We’re sorry for the frustration and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. When a tour is canceled due to low participation, refunds are issued. Because this booking was made through Viator, payments and refunds are processed on their end, which can sometimes cause confusion or delays in how transactions appear on a bank statement. We would be happy to review this with you and provide confirmation or help connect you with Viator to ensure everything is resolved correctly. Please reach out to us directly so we can assist.

Why this scores 51
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
South Florida Sightseeing Cruise: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fort Lauderdale.
How much does South Florida Sightseeing Cruise cost?
+
Prices start at $28 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fort Lauderdale usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does South Florida Sightseeing Cruise take?
+
Plan for about 1.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fort Lauderdale is not rushed.
Is South Florida Sightseeing Cruise worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (2.8/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Fort Lauderdale, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule South Florida Sightseeing Cruise?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is South Florida Sightseeing Cruise suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book South Florida Sightseeing Cruise?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fort Lauderdale can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fort Lauderdale and add a light layer if any part of the 1.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does South Florida Sightseeing Cruise start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fort Lauderdale within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Fort Lauderdale?
+
Fort Lauderdale sells canal and Millionaire's Row boat cruises, Everglades airboat trips, snorkel and dive charters on the reef, and Miami and Key West day trips. Boat size and reef conditions drive the quality of the water tours. On Outty we rank every Fort Lauderdale experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 1-Hour Interactive Pirate Cruise (arrive 30 minutes early), Fort Lauderdale Segway Tour, Half-day Everglades National Park Tour and 1-Hour Air Boat Ride. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Fort Lauderdale?
+
November to April, with warm water year round. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Fort Lauderdale?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
