Highly Recommend this Experience!
Despite it being a little rainy on the day of our adventure, Tony still made it a day worth participating in. His knowledge of the area and his care for his customers made this a truly delightful day for my husband, me, and our friends.
Response from the operator: Thanks for you kind word and flexibility

Fun and educational!
I really enjoyed this tour! The trike was easy to use and fun, the tour was as active as you wanted it to be. I got to see much more of beautiful Sonoma and learn a lot about it. And there was cheese! The tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable.

Good Tour That Could Have Been Great
The excursion did not start off on a positive note. When we arrived, they had no record of our reservation through Viator for 10 am. Luckily, I had printed out the confirmation from Viator and they offered to put us in a tour at 1:30 pm same day. We rearranged our day and came back at 1:30 pm. Howard led us on the trikes and he was very knowledgeable about the Sonoma area and the trikes were a fun way to see Sonoma. We stopped at a cheese shop and a historical building while driving through the vineyards and town of Sonoma. Two things that were disappointing: Howard was on the phone frequently handling personal business during the tour - not very focused on his customers. After two hours we headed back to the office - strange since it was a three-hour tour. There was no hiking. Howard said we were having a wine tasting. We did not really want to do a wine tasting, but thought the tour was a different tour than we had originally reserved and just went with it. The other couple on the tour also were surprised with the tasting - so clearly it was not expected. After the tasting Howard informed us that the tasting would cost us an additional $40 per person - on top of an already expensive excursion. None of us were happy since we had not been informed of the additional charge before the tasting. He wound up charging us $40 per couple - still not appropriate imo. Maybe we just hit him on a bad day - but what began as a fun excursion ended on a sour note.
Response from the operator: We responded to this reviewer separately but in this public response, I'd like to say that we have a sign that invites anybody with even slight dissatisfaction to talk to us about it so that we can put it right for you. It is of course your choice to say nothing, wait a month and then post a negative review, but given the choice, 100 times out of 100 we would choose for our customers to leave us feeling, at the very least, satisfied. We are sorry that this reviewer did not. We do acknowledge that there were things we could have done better on the day, but we also would like to state that we were trying to resolve a situation that was entirely outside of our control. Due to a confirmed system glitch on Viator's end, we were never notified about this guest's reservation, so when they turned up, we were as surprised as they were. In trying to put things right, we managed to accommodate them later the same day, but unfortunately, nobody seemed to realise they had booked a Trike and Hike rather than our Classic tour. This explains why the guests were surprised by the wine tasting experience, which IS part of the Classic tour, but not the Trike and Hike. Rest assured that there are no hidden fees in our packages - indeed these fees are almost screamed out loud in the confirmation emails and on the same sign I mentioned at the beginning of this response. Unfortunately, the crucial element that went wrong on this day was not made by our team, but again, I do acknowledge that we could have done better in trying to put things right. At the same time, the guest could have spoken to us and we could have put it right for them on the day, so we are doubly disappointed to take this hit. Thanks for taking the time to read this response - please take a little more to look at the overwhelming majority of five star reviews that we are proud to have earned!

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sonoma Trike and Hike - 3 hour guided tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Napa & Sonoma.
How much does Sonoma Trike and Hike - 3 hour guided tour cost?
+
Prices start at $175 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Napa & Sonoma usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sonoma Trike and Hike - 3 hour guided tour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Napa & Sonoma is not rushed.
Is Sonoma Trike and Hike - 3 hour guided tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Napa & Sonoma, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sonoma Trike and Hike - 3 hour guided tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sonoma Trike and Hike - 3 hour guided tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sonoma Trike and Hike - 3 hour guided tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Napa & Sonoma can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Napa & Sonoma and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sonoma Trike and Hike - 3 hour guided tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Napa & Sonoma within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Napa & Sonoma?
+
Napa and Sonoma are all about how a tour is put together: which wineries it can actually book, how many stops, whether lunch and tasting fees are included, and whether it lifts off in a balloon at sunrise. We weight inclusions and transparency heavily in the ranking here. On Outty we rank every Napa & Sonoma experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Napa Valley Small Group Winery Tour, #1 Sonoma Walking Food, Wine Tasting & History Tour (Public Tour), Sonoma Valley Pedal Assist Bike Tour with Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Napa & Sonoma?
+
March to May and September to November, with harvest crush in September. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Napa & Sonoma?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
