This was an awesome tour! Highly recommend!
Viv was a very knowledgeable and personable tour hostess! We went to 5 different restaurants and all of the food choices and wine pairings were interesting and fun! We enjoyed the conversation and the history and the wine knowledge! So glad we did this!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful 5-star review! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the food, wine pairings, local history, and conversation—Viv has a special way of bringing it all to life, and she'll be thrilled to read your kind words. One tiny question... are we secretly offering a bonus stop now? 😊 Our tour usually includes four restaurants plus an olive oil tasting, so if you made it to five restaurants, we're wondering if Viv worked a little extra magic that day! Either way, we're so glad you joined us and had such a memorable experience. We hope to welcome you back for another delicious adventure!

Perfect Kickoff to Our Wine Country Weekend!
My wife and I were treated to a private tour led by Founder Renée Rebell, and it was such a fun way to explore Sonoma and kick off our long weekend in wine country! We visited five delicious stops in just three hours, each with a perfect wine and food pairing that totally replaced lunch. The walking was scenic, the portions were generous, and the vibe was relaxed and friendly. Renée was an awesome guide, full of great stories and local tips. Our final stop at Capo Isetta was a standout. Their cabernet was fantastic, and both Renée and the Capo Isetta team gave us amazing recommendations for wineries, restaurants, and experiences that made the rest of our weekend in wine country even better. If you love wine, food, and exploring charming towns, this tour is a must. We'd 100% do it again!

Outstanding Tour
This Sonoma Food & Wine Tour was absolutely one of the best experiences my Husband and I have had! Lily was such a gracious and fun host, and the group had such an easy and fun vibe. The food at all the different stops was excellent, and the wine was tasty. So much fun from start to finish!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that you and your husband had such a memorable time with us. Lily will be so happy to know she made your experience extra special, and we’re glad the group energy, food, and wine all added to the fun! It truly means the world to us—hope to see you again soon for more Sonoma adventures!

Loved walking around the...
Loved walking around the square and the variety of foods we tasted. It was only my wife and I on the tour, not sure how frequent that is. The walking was not intensive and rather casual.

Good Food Tour in Sonoma
The guides Julie and Lilly were delightful. I appreciated the history and stories. The first restaurant, olive oil stop, desert stop with red wine stop were all fantastic. The Indian stop I thought was great but my 2 friends did not. The final food stop was good but not fantastic. Overall the tour was positive although a bit on the pricy side.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for joining us and for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback! We're so glad to hear you enjoyed the history, stories, and the warm hospitality from Julie and Lilly — they’ll be thrilled to hear that. We’re especially happy you loved many of the stops, from the olive oil tasting to the dessert and wine pairing! We always aim to create a well-rounded experience, and we truly value your insight about the other stops — guest feedback like yours helps us refine and improve. We hope to welcome you and your friends back again soon for another delicious adventure. Wishing you all the best in your travels! Warmly, Renée Gourmet Food & Wine Tours

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sonoma Plaza Food and Wine Pairing Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Napa & Sonoma.
How much does Sonoma Plaza Food and Wine Pairing Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $299 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Napa & Sonoma usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sonoma Plaza Food and Wine Pairing Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Napa & Sonoma is not rushed.
Is Sonoma Plaza Food and Wine Pairing Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 45 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Napa & Sonoma, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sonoma Plaza Food and Wine Pairing Tour?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Sonoma Plaza Food and Wine Pairing Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sonoma Plaza Food and Wine Pairing Tour?
+
Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Napa & Sonoma can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Napa & Sonoma and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sonoma Plaza Food and Wine Pairing Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Napa & Sonoma within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Napa & Sonoma?
+
Napa and Sonoma are all about how a tour is put together: which wineries it can actually book, how many stops, whether lunch and tasting fees are included, and whether it lifts off in a balloon at sunrise. We weight inclusions and transparency heavily in the ranking here. On Outty we rank every Napa & Sonoma experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Napa Valley Small Group Winery Tour, #1 Sonoma Walking Food, Wine Tasting & History Tour (Public Tour), Sonoma Valley Pedal Assist Bike Tour with Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Napa & Sonoma?
+
March to May and September to November, with harvest crush in September. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Napa & Sonoma?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
