    Great times!

Tour guides were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We got to see a whale jump, they said it was the closest they’ve ever gotten. They were great, we had a blast!

Fantastic snorkelling and bonus extra whales!

We had a fantastic day on the water with our guide Fran and El Capitan Jose today. We booked our trip only the night before which could have made things unorganized but everything was so well taken care of. We were the only guests (3) so that was a bit of an added bonus. The boat was in immaculate shape, clean and well maintained. The day was a bit windy with the water around 70 degreed F so wet suits (they appeared to be practically brand new) were provided for us. Masks, snorkel and fins were newer and good quality. We appreciated that, while life jackets were readily available, as strong swimmers we had the option not to wear them. Wetsuits kept us very boyant! At our first snorkelling stop the visibility wasn't great due to the wind direction so we only stayed a short while. Our second stop in Chileno Bay was terrific - a wide variety and quantity of fish, a lobster, a moray eel, and lots of time to explore. Fran had given us a good safety briefing and was checking in with us frequently while in the water, making sure we were safe and felt comfortable with everything. Lunch was good - choice of burritos from a local restaurant, and fresh water. But the BEST part were the whales! We know that no tour operator can control whether it is whale season or where they might show up, but Fran kept a good eye out for any surfacing whales and Jose steered us to get as a good a view as possible while not intruding on their space. We had at least five encounters with cow/calf pairs or adults. It was amazing. We were going to have another snorkeling stop but saw more whales instead! I would highly recommend this trip and this tour operator

    Really, really great snorkeling trip

This was a fantastic snorkeling trip! At 4 hours it was not too long, not too short, and it was a small group (5 family members and our guide and boat captain). Our guide Fran was incredibly knowledgeable, and very clearly cares deeply about marine life and ecosystems. Him and the captain worked well together, they ensured that we were able to see a lot, and they always kept our safety and the safety of the animals front and center. We saw (and heard) whales, rays, so many different kinds of fish and corals, and it was overall a great excursion. Highly, highly recommend!

Unforgettable day with a great team!

Amazing experience with Matias and Captain. We were a group of 5. Clear communication. Patient, kind and knowledgeable team. Never felt rushed. Unbelievable sites. Breaching whales, tail slaps, flying eagle rays, giant schools of rays, turtles and more. An unforgettable day! Thanks DIP Expeditions!!

Snorkeling in the best reefs in San Jose del Cabo: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Cabos.

How much does Snorkeling in the best reefs in San Jose del Cabo cost?

    +

Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Cabos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Snorkeling in the best reefs in San Jose del Cabo take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Cabos is not rushed.

Is Snorkeling in the best reefs in San Jose del Cabo worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Los Cabos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Snorkeling in the best reefs in San Jose del Cabo?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Snorkeling in the best reefs in San Jose del Cabo suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Snorkeling in the best reefs in San Jose del Cabo?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Cabos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Cabos and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Snorkeling in the best reefs in San Jose del Cabo start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Cabos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Los Cabos?

    +

On Outty we rank every Los Cabos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cabo 4x4 ATV Tour with Tequila Tasting and Mexican Buffet Lunch, Ziplining and UTV Desert Adventure from Los Cabos, Cabo Beach Camel Ride, Mexican Buffet and Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Los Cabos?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Los Cabos?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
