Awesome snorkeling trip!
We had a great snorkeling experience! Exclusive Agency Tours knew we’d be getting in on a flight to Cancun on the day of our tour, so they made sure to put us on a later snorkeling trip so that we’d definitely make it on time, and stayed in constant contact to make sure that we were on time as scheduled. The driver picked us up from a point near our hotel, and took us to the Marina Punta Norte for our excursion. The marina is a nice, secure facility with lockers (I think there was a $5 deposit, so bring some cash), a little shop, bathrooms, and showers, although the women’s bathroom only had one working shower. We were provided with fins, mask, and a snorkel, but be sure to bring your own towel. The snorkeling trip itself was great, it was a smaller boat, which was nice for a small group. We didn’t go very far before making our first stop to see some underwater sinkholes, with a sea star and lots of colorful fish swimming around them. All of the rest of the stops were very close to each other- we stopped next at an area where we saw some large sea turtles and we could get pretty close to them and swim with them (but no touching!). Then we continued on to a reef area with more colorful fish and some underwater statues. Our last stop was a very interesting shipwreck. All of the snorkeling stops were in pretty shallow water - not shallow enough to stand, but if you are a good swimmer you could probably dive to the bottom easily enough. The guide, Moses, stayed with us in the water for the duration of each snorkeling stop and pointed out interesting things to see, and he had a lifebuoy for us to hold onto in the water. There was also a photographer with us, Eddie, who took pictures of us along the way which you could purchase at the end of the trip if you wanted. The boat was easy to jump out of to get into the water, and there was also a ladder to easily climb back into the boat. All in all it was an awesome trip!
Response from the operator: Dear Customer: We have received your comments, was a pleasure to met you, I hope you can return in your next holidays with us Best Regards

Snorkeling Experience
Robert, our guide, was very dedicated to finding the most sea life possible to make our experience memorable. We saw two turtles, multiple sea stars, and a lot of beautiful fish. We saw two of the underwater statues as well as a shipwreck. There was not as much of the underwater museum seen as I expected from the name of the tour; however, it was still amazing. I will say it was physically intense. A lot of jumping off the side of the boat quickly and up to a half hour at a time of swimming. Climbing back on the boat required some dexterity as well. Robert did a great job of helping those having difficulty.
Response from the operator: Dear Customer: We are glad you have done our best snorkeling service, I hope you can recommend us to your family and friends, We will wait your next return with us, have a nice day.

Great snorkeling
Great snorkeling. They take you out on a boat, we went to 3 sites, reef where we saw thousands of fish, a site with giant tortoises, and a ship wreck. Very cool. Water provided Downsides: Towels NOT provided which is says on the listing. Also it offers hotel pickup, which is nice, but the driver isn’t allowed in the lobby for most places - I would recommend them having a dry erase board so they can write your name on it. I kept waiting for someone to come in the lobby and say my name as this it what I was instructed. It’s okay tho, overall a great value for the money, and I would still recommend! Good photo package as well
Response from the operator: Dear Customer: We are glad you have enjoyed your tour, we aill wait your soon return to Cancun and you can do it other services. Have a nice day.

Why this scores 49
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Snorkeling Experience in Cancun - Hands Underwater Museum: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.
How much does Snorkeling Experience in Cancun - Hands Underwater Museum cost?
+
Prices start at $98 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Snorkeling Experience in Cancun - Hands Underwater Museum take?
+
Plan for about 2.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.
Is Snorkeling Experience in Cancun - Hands Underwater Museum worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Snorkeling Experience in Cancun - Hands Underwater Museum?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Snorkeling Experience in Cancun - Hands Underwater Museum suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Snorkeling Experience in Cancun - Hands Underwater Museum?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 2.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Snorkeling Experience in Cancun - Hands Underwater Museum start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
