⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ask for “Crispy Bacon” an unforgettable experience!
Absolutely incredible. This was easily one of the highlights of our entire trip to Cancun. The reef is literally a 5-minute boat ride away, and our guide, “Crispy Bacon,” was outstanding. This man KNOWS his reef. Within minutes of getting in the water, we were surrounded by thousands of tropical fish. We saw barracuda, puffer fish, stingrays, nurse sharks, enormous sea turtles and more marine life than I could possibly list. At one point we were only a couple of feet from a giant sea turtle and about five feet from a nurse shark resting on the bottom. Completely surreal. What made the experience so special, though, was Crispy Bacon. He knew exactly where to take us, what we were looking at, and how to make everyone feel comfortable in the water. It felt authentic and personal, not like one of those crowded, conveyor-belt tourist excursions. It was just us with a local guide who clearly knows this reef inside and out. The coral was beautiful, the wildlife was extraordinary, and being able to experience all of it essentially right off the coast was amazing. If you are considering snorkeling while in Cancun, DO THIS. And ask for Crispy Bacon. You could not ask for a better guide. Thank you, Mr. Bacon, for giving our family a memory we will be talking about for years. 🐢🦈🐠🪸 Absolutely worth every penny.

Awesome Tour
Awesome experience!! "Crispy Bacon" had an eye for the turtles/sharks/rays and it is a gorgeous reef. Thanks for the biodiversity experience (:

Family snorkeling!
2 adults & 2 children, I booked through their website(www.justsnorkel.com) and the prices were very fair. We purchased the additional beach chairs & credit for the restaurant. Crispy Bacon was wonderful, pointed out different fish species, we seen several sea turtles, the reef was absolutely beautiful. Very shallow water where snorkeling happens so it’s easy to see all the amazing life. Thank you!
Response from the operator: We're so glad you had a good experience! Thanks a lot for trying out our service!

Great experience!!!
Great experience!!! We booked directly at Puerto Morelos and the suppliers are all well coordenated and the prices are similar. It was a short boat ride until the reef. Beautiful: Barracudas, all sort of fishes and sea life,..we just couldnt see any turtle but was way worth it. We didnt feel the comercial push as in Cozumel.
Response from the operator: So glad you had a great time and didn't feel like you were being sold to - we definitely like to preserve the experience and make it a genuine good time for everyone instead of just another tour. Sorry you didn't get a chance to catch a turtle in the wild - maybe next time. :)

Response from the operator: Happy to hear you got to see some rays out there! Thank you for booking your tour with "Just Snorkel!"

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Snorkeling in Puerto Morelos: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.
How much does Snorkeling in Puerto Morelos cost?
+
Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Snorkeling in Puerto Morelos take?
+
Plan for about 1.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.
Is Snorkeling in Puerto Morelos worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 171 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Snorkeling in Puerto Morelos?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Snorkeling in Puerto Morelos suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Snorkeling in Puerto Morelos?
+
Around 60 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 1.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Snorkeling in Puerto Morelos start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
