You don’t get what you pay for

The title and the description of this tour is not what you will receive. The title of the tour is “snorkel and catamaran tour,” you snorkel but not on a catamaran (which was what our group was wanting/expecting) We were put on a small fishing boat. In the activity description, it stated that after snorkeling, we would have music, cocktails/beers on the boat and a light lunch. We were just given water. I honestly think that the company put us on a different tour and tried to pass it off as our tour. The tour we were put on was snorkeling, a tequila tasting back at the company’s building, a guided walking tour through the town of Puerto Morelos ending with a lunch at a local restaurant. No one in our group is a huge fan of tequila so we would have never booked an excursion involving a tequila tasting. So the fact that this was part of our excursion, I knew we were stuck on a different tour (if the catamaran wasn’t an indication at first, this obviously was) We made the best of the situation and did enjoy the snorkeling. Our guides were very kind and helpful but the fact that they chose to put us on a different tour and not provide us with the excursion that we paid for was very upsetting. The simple fact is…we paid to snorkel off a catamaran and we didn’t. If you can’t offer what you advertise, don’t advertise it.

Response from the operator: We appreciate our traveler's valuable feedback; it is wonderful to know that our team is always ready to ensure you have an excellent day. Come enjoy part of the peninsula's largest coral reef—reserve your spot and join us for the experience. Snorkeling in Cancun and Puerto Morelos.

How far in advance should I book Snorkeling Tour in Puerto Morelos?

    +

Around 0 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cancun?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +
