What you get

    About this experience

Cabo Pulmo is the best snorkeling spots in Los Cabo area. At least 226 fish species live in the park, and it is home to the only living hard coral reef in the Sea of Cortez.  The reefs of Cabo Pulmo have long been considered a treasure of the Baja California península. The reef has even become a refuge for at least one endangered species: the large and valuable gulf grouper. The waters of Cabo Pulmo are the clearest in the Cabo San Lucas area, with visibility sometimes exceeding 100 feet between June and December. The marine preserve is about a 2 hour drive from Cabo San Lucas, so you'll have to make sure you have time before booking this unique snorkeling tour.

Overall a nice trip but have to float.

To start with I would call this more of a float trip than a snorkeling trip. You have to wear a full life vest and float on top the entire time. If you're an avid snorkeler this will be extremely frustrating. So much marine life and unable to go down and look at it. They do provide wetsuits and their snorkeling gear seemed in decent shape. (Had my own) They take you out on Pangas and not many people on the boat. The guides were fantastic. Spoke good English, very knowledgeable, and kept good track of swimmers in the water. (Easy to see people since everyone had a life vest on) We did go to 4 different stops. Did see a good variety of fish but I was surprised how little coral there was. The highlight of the trip was when we went to deep water and got to swim with a massive school of Big-eyed Jacks. The only refreshments given were 2 fig newtons and a glass of water. Luckly the other party on the boat brought fresh oranges and some beer that they shared with us. I would recommend bringing your own snacks and something to drink. As far as getting there from Cabo I would recommend the Inland Road compared to the coast road. Easier to figure arrival time this way. Only about the last 10km are on dirt, washboard roads. Then I would recommend driving the coast road home. Spectacular scenery and lots of unspoiled beaches. Some cows, horses, and goats in the road. It is about 50km of unpaved road. Some is ok condition, but some is very washboard. I met some snorkelers that were heading to a beach where you can snorkel from shore. I will try that next just so I don't have to wear a life vest.

    Pretty good day trip

Drove to the dive shop, 2 hours from Cabo Sal Lukas. very orderly when we arrived. got us outfitted with wetsuits (not really needed for the water temp, but nice if you are worried about sunburn). went to 3 areas to snorkel, Good snorkeling, visibility was pretty good that day. I think the Tour company can accomodate inexperienced as well as experienced snorkelers effectively. Guide was personable and fluent in english or spanish.

    Great snorkeling excursion!

Saw tons of unique looking tropical fish. They take you to a few different spots. Well worth the drive from Cabo for the day! I would totally do this again.

    Great snorkel/ meh equipment.

People were great!!! Did not have enough wetsuits for people 180 and 200 pounds. Did not supply enough water to drink. When they took us back after snorkeling I had to jump out into chest deep water with my belongings instead of bringing in closer to shore. The snorkel sites were really good.

Great tour guides and great company

This was a great experience from start to finish! Our tour guide, Oscar and driver Chaco were personable, fun, and very knowledgeable. The company provides wetsuits as well as snorkel gear. We were able to see lots of types of fish from the four different spots that we snorkel in and enjoyed seeing sea lions and chasing a whale.

Snorkeling Adventure Cabo Pulmo: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Cabos.

How much does Snorkeling Adventure Cabo Pulmo cost?

    +

Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Cabos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Snorkeling Adventure Cabo Pulmo take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Cabos is not rushed.

Is Snorkeling Adventure Cabo Pulmo worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 39 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Los Cabos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Snorkeling Adventure Cabo Pulmo?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Snorkeling Adventure Cabo Pulmo suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Snorkeling Adventure Cabo Pulmo?

    +

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Cabos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Cabos and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Snorkeling Adventure Cabo Pulmo start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Cabos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Los Cabos?

    +

On Outty we rank every Los Cabos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ziplining and UTV Desert Adventure from Los Cabos, Cabo 4x4 ATV Tour with Tequila Tasting and Mexican Buffet Lunch, Cabo Beach Camel Ride, Mexican Buffet and Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Los Cabos?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Los Cabos?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
