The snorkeling activity...
The snorkeling activity was really great My guide Luis picked me up from the hotel, provided the equipment, history and knowledge of the area and cenotes. The pet cemetery cenote and Sac Actun were cenotes that are part of the same cave system and was absolutely incredible. Luis was making sure everything went smooth and showing me all the best areas of the cave. After that we went to the corazone cenote which was also beautiful and had some fish and river turtles swimming about.

Exceptional tour in the most beautiful Cenote!
Probably the best tour we did whilst holidaying in Mexico! The Cenote is stunning and was quiet, we were alone for the majority and only passed one other group toward the end. We saw some interesting wildlife including a turtle, langoustine and shrimp. Luis explained everything as we went and told us about the Mayan history as well as the geology of the cave. He is a very friendly and kind guide who we would not hesitate to book with again! Highly recommend if you are looking for a Cenote tour in Tulum!
Response from the operator: Dear Jessica, We are truly moved by your incredibly generous review. To be considered "the best tour" of your holiday in Mexico is an honor that fills our entire team with immense pride and joy. Thank you for sharing your experience in such beautiful detail. We are delighted that the cenote's stunning and tranquil nature left such a positive impression. Providing a sense of peaceful exclusivity is a priority for us, and we are so pleased you could enjoy the location in a quiet, intimate setting. It is wonderful to know that the wildlife sightings, from the turtle to the langoustine and shrimp, added to the magic of your adventure. Luis is deeply passionate about sharing his knowledge, and we are thrilled that his explanations—spanning from the fascinating Mayan history to the captivating geology of the cave—made your tour both informative and engaging. Your words about Luis being a friendly and kind guide are the greatest compliment we could receive. We are very proud to have him on our team, and we have shared your glowing feedback with him. Thank you for your unreserved recommendation. It was an absolute pleasure to host you, and we would be overjoyed to welcome you back for another exploration in the future. With warmest regards and sincere thanks, Luis Morales Tu amigo y fundador de TRMO

Loved this snorkeling cenote tour
This snorkeling activiity in a cenote in Tulum was awesome from start to finish. My guide Luis did a hotel pick up, provided snorkel equipment, history and knowledge of each cenote. This cenote tour was one of the only ones on Viator that offered a solo option at at great price and I am so grateful that I found this cenote tour. The open cenote had fish, blue crabs, birds and a resident crocodile who was busy sunning it's self on the rocks as we floated past it. I was a little nervous about the crocodile at first, but my guide told me they eat fish and are nocturnal, so we quietly respected his space and had no problems. The second cenote Sac Actun I absolutely LOVED! This cenote had everything from open cave, fish, bats, tree islands with a hole at the top, caves full of stalagmites and stalactites, coloums all in fresh clean water. I felt safe on this tour and loved every minute of exploring the cenotes. I will definitely be back to explore more of cenote Sac Actun. Tip: If you are interested in the Tulum local food just ask Luis for help.
Response from the operator: Muchas gracias Wendy for the amazing anergy that you share with me, you're an exceptional person and I really will love to see you soon and thanks for nice words you share, saludos y buen camino amiga!

Why this scores 50
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Snorkeling Activity in a Cenote Expedition: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tulum.
How much does Snorkeling Activity in a Cenote Expedition cost?
+
Prices start at $2199 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tulum usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Snorkeling Activity in a Cenote Expedition take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tulum is not rushed.
Is Snorkeling Activity in a Cenote Expedition worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tulum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Snorkeling Activity in a Cenote Expedition?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Snorkeling Activity in a Cenote Expedition suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Snorkeling Activity in a Cenote Expedition?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tulum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tulum and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Snorkeling Activity in a Cenote Expedition start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tulum within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tulum?
+
On Outty we rank every Tulum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tulum Ruins, Turtles in Akumal and Cenote tour, Tulum Guided Tour, Magical Cenote, Lagoon Snorkeling and Beachside Lunch, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tulum?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tulum?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
