Informative and fun!
Easy fun and informative. Made, what could have been just a pretty drive thru the mountain pass, informative and made the trip more fun. A 1 hour trip seemed a lot quicker. Bonus, we are a competitive bunch and loved the trivia questions!
Response from the operator: Thanks for the ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! We're delighted the tour made the drive more fun and informative, and that we could help keep the friendly competition alive! Even better that that we could help you lose time during your scenic drive through Colorado! 🚗

This was not for us
The cost was reasonable but unfortunately, for us it caused more stress than it was worth. We could not figure how to use it smoothly with google or apple maps. We just did our own navigation and hit the highlighted spots when we were close. It seemed like it only gave a minute's worth of info for each highlighted spot. We were hoping for more information, history, or facts for each highlighted spot. For our group of 4 adults, we found the actor's voices for the historic characters more humorous than informative, and the trivia questions format for giving information a waste of time.
Response from the operator: We're sorry to hear that our tour ultimately wasn't for your group, even though you found the cost reasonable. We understand that the content and presentation style didn't quite align with what you were hoping for. We appreciate you sharing your experience and feedback.

Interesting Facts While Driving
We found it a great way to add extra interest to the I70. Some interesting facts we would not have known without this app. The quiz, which was primarily aimed at kids, was fun for my wife and I. We downloaded it to our tablet while in the hotel (free WiFi) and used it offline. The only issue we had was it mentioned a detour (at the start) while driving towards Denver and said it would warn of the turn. It didn't so we missed that. Never mind so much else to see anyway.
Response from the operator: We’re thrilled our audio tour added value to your visit and that you enjoyed the quiz questions. Your fantastic review is much appreciated!

Breckenridge to Denver
Interesting historical tidbits along the route. Narration was out of sync with the travel direction.
Response from the operator: Thanks for your review. We appreciate your feedback and will take your comments into consideration as we work to improve our tours.

Disappointed
We never got to use this because we couldn’t get it to work and by the time the tour guide responded we were almost to the destination. I have asked for a refund but got no response
Response from the operator: We apologize for any inconvenience or frustration you experienced. We take all concerns seriously and will investigate the issue further.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Smartphone Driving Tour b/w Breckenridge & Denver: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Vail.
How much does Smartphone Driving Tour b/w Breckenridge & Denver cost?
+
Prices start at $12 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Vail usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Smartphone Driving Tour b/w Breckenridge & Denver take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Vail is not rushed.
Is Smartphone Driving Tour b/w Breckenridge & Denver worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Vail, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Smartphone Driving Tour b/w Breckenridge & Denver?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Smartphone Driving Tour b/w Breckenridge & Denver suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Smartphone Driving Tour b/w Breckenridge & Denver?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vail can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vail and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Smartphone Driving Tour b/w Breckenridge & Denver start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vail within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Vail?
+
Vail sells ski and snowboard lessons and rentals across its back bowls in winter, then hiking, gondola rides, jeep tours and rafting on the Eagle River in summer. On Outty we rank every Vail experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Whitewater Rafting Upper Colorado River, Colorado River Whitewater Rafting: Half Day Trip, Top of the Rockies Jeep Tour - Vail, CO. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Vail?
+
December to March for snow, June to September for alpine hiking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Vail?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
