Good way to help understand what you are seeing along the route.

We took a scenic side route we wouldn’t have know about which was awesome. The historical info was good - but almost a little too many along the route. We were discussing one comment when another would start up before we could process the prior one. We liked the trivia questions at the end of several segments. We did not care for the character re-enactments - they were hard to hear and didn’t add to our experience.

Response from the operator: Thanks for the great review! We're so glad you enjoyed the tour and that it helped you understand the area better. It's awesome to hear you discovered a scenic side route and enjoyed the trivia questions. We appreciate your honest feedback about the frequency of the commentary and the character re-enactments. We're always looking for ways to improve the tours, and your comments will help us make them better for future travelers.

    App didnt work

App didn't work. Tried restarting and still didnt work. Manual playback kept replaying the previous marker. Just a total fail

Response from the operator: We're sorry to hear you had such a frustrating experience with our app and that it didn't work as expected. That's definitely not the experience we want for our customers. While we're disappointed we didn't hear from you directly to help troubleshoot, we'd appreciate the chance to understand what went wrong. Please reach out to our support team at info@tripvia.tours so we can investigate and assist further.

    The commentary was good....

The commentary was good. The trivia questions were fun. Just couldn’t get it to auto play. I had to play each piece manually

Response from the operator: Thanks for the fantastic 5-star review of our Denver & Vail/Breckenridge driving tour! We're so pleased you enjoyed the commentary and had fun with the trivia questions. We appreciate your feedback on the auto-play feature, and we're always working to improve the user experience. We hope you had an unforgettable trip through the Rockies!

    Worth the money

This is a fun app that is worth the money. They have 4 short training videos designed to make the app more user friendly - they need to make another video because these 4 don’t do a good job. Once you figure it all out it’s smooth sailing.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words and helpful feedback! We're thrilled you enjoyed the experience and truly appreciate your suggestion about the training videos. We're always looking for ways to improve, and your input helps us make the app even more user friendly.

    Easy to use.

Nice app easy to use and told a lot of history about the area. Not too much talking but information came at the right time while you were approaching the area of discussion.

Response from the operator: Thanks for the fantastic review! We’re glad you found the app easy to use and enjoyed the well-timed commentary. Great to hear the info worked for you—hope to join you on another trip soon!

Smartphone Driving Tour between Denver & Vail / Breckenridge: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Vail.

How much does Smartphone Driving Tour between Denver & Vail / Breckenridge cost?

    +

Prices start at $12 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Vail usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Smartphone Driving Tour between Denver & Vail / Breckenridge take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Vail is not rushed.

Is Smartphone Driving Tour between Denver & Vail / Breckenridge worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 46 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Vail, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Smartphone Driving Tour between Denver & Vail / Breckenridge?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Smartphone Driving Tour between Denver & Vail / Breckenridge suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Smartphone Driving Tour between Denver & Vail / Breckenridge?

    +

Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vail can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vail and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Smartphone Driving Tour between Denver & Vail / Breckenridge start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vail within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Vail?

    +

Vail sells ski and snowboard lessons and rentals across its back bowls in winter, then hiking, gondola rides, jeep tours and rafting on the Eagle River in summer. On Outty we rank every Vail experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Whitewater Rafting Upper Colorado River, Colorado River Whitewater Rafting: Half Day Trip, Top of the Rockies Jeep Tour - Vail, CO. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Vail?

    +

December to March for snow, June to September for alpine hiking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Vail?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
