What you'll see and do
Arch of Cabo San Lucas
A captivating granite formation and one of the most recognizable symbols of Los Cabos, the Arch towers three stories above the meeting point of the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortes. Known locally as "El Arco" or "Land's End," this natural wonder is a testament to the forces of tidal and wind erosion shaping the Baja Peninsula over millennia. We stop by boat to take pictures of the famous Arch of Cabo.
10 minutes here
Sea of Cortez
Board your boat and head out on your educational Cabo adventure. Your captain will show you why Cabo is the place for humpback whale watching as you travel on a small and speedy boat carrying a maximum of 15 people. On your way out to the Sea of Cortez or Pacific side of Cabo, stop at the famous Land's End or Cabo Arch. A marine biologist will be on board to tell you about the area, the Baja geography, the Sea of Cortez sea life, and answer any questions you might have. The Sea of Cortez hosts numerous whale species each season, from gray whales and sperm whales to the elusive blue whales, dolphins, and even orcas. Be sure to bring your camera as there will be plenty of photo opportunities. After a few hours out on the water, you will be dropped off back at your hotel. Upgrade your experience for a private tour with just you and the members of your group.

We finally saw a whale!
It was very personal, only myself, my husband and crew members. The last day for whale watching and Jose was able to locate one last humpback for us to see! It was awesome!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for choosing us on the last day of the season! It truly means a lot to us to have closed the season with your visit, and even more so knowing that José was part of your experience. He has been a key member of our team for the past 28 years, and this has been a particularly challenging year for him, so comments like yours are especially meaningful and make his work all the more rewarding. We look forward to welcoming you again next season!

NOT TO ME MISSED! THRILLING!!
We went on a zodiac small group whale watching trip in Cabo with Xo as our guide and José as the captain. We were four adults and were in a boat with a total of 8 people. The trip was wonderful, and uniquely so because of this exceptional crew. They were passionate about their work, highly knowledgeable and interested in encouraging understanding, appreciation and respect for these gentle giants and for nature in general. We saw the beautiful Whales, sea lions, sea birds and the gorgeous environment from The sea. We learned so much, and saw the whales up so closely. Awe-inspiring experience- NOT TO BE MISSED! Ask for xo and José!

Whale Watching!!!
Had a great time out on the water with JJ (captain) and So (guide)! We saw around 15 whales with a partial breach! Ride took around 2.5 hours total

Awesome family memory
This was such a great experience for my family and I. We’ve never gotten so close to whales in our life! I wasn’t sure how the kids would do (9 and 7), but they loved it! It was a small group so it was intimate, we got to ask a lot of questions. Our guide Xochi was incredible and very knowledgeable which made it even more memorable.

Small-Group Whale Watching Zodiac Boat Cruise in Cabo San Lucas: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cabo San Lucas.
How much does Small-Group Whale Watching Zodiac Boat Cruise in Cabo San Lucas cost?
+
Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cabo San Lucas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Small-Group Whale Watching Zodiac Boat Cruise in Cabo San Lucas take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cabo San Lucas is not rushed.
Is Small-Group Whale Watching Zodiac Boat Cruise in Cabo San Lucas worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 155 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cabo San Lucas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Small-Group Whale Watching Zodiac Boat Cruise in Cabo San Lucas?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Small-Group Whale Watching Zodiac Boat Cruise in Cabo San Lucas suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Small-Group Whale Watching Zodiac Boat Cruise in Cabo San Lucas?
+
Around 54 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cabo San Lucas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cabo San Lucas and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Small-Group Whale Watching Zodiac Boat Cruise in Cabo San Lucas start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cabo San Lucas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cabo San Lucas?
+
On Outty we rank every Cabo San Lucas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cabo Desert Off-Road & Beach Horseback Combo and Tequila Tasting, Humpback Whale Watching Tour in Cabo San Lucas, Cabo All-Inclusive Private Beach Club with Open Bar and Buffet. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cabo San Lucas?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cabo San Lucas?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
