Great Captain Guide Ziggy!
We booked Boat Now Canal Cruise at the last minute, and it ended up being a private tour—what a wonderful surprise! Ziggy, our captain, was exceptional: knowledgeable, personable, and made the experience so enjoyable. Snacks and drinks were provided, and there was even a restroom onboard if needed. A fantastic way to see Amsterdam’s beautiful canals. Highly recommend Boat Now!

Highly recommend
We were with 6 friends. We rented the Dauphine , a 1910 salon boot that sits max. 12 persons. It was a beautiful boat with heating and a toilet on board. The captain Maxim was a great tour guide!! Highly recommend
Response from the operator: Thank you for the good review. I’m glad you enjoyed the boat trip! See you next time.

Very nice tour
Victor was a wonderful captain and tour was very enjoyable. The 1 1/2 hour tour went by quickly. We should have booked a longer cruise.

Wedding party on the luxury boat
We had our wedding party including open drinks&buffet&wedding cake, we loved it! They are the best in town! Much appreciated to have our wedding party with Boat Now. The boat was Hanneke and it was really big and luxury. Our guests were very satisfied and enjoyed. Thank you for making our day amazing.

BoatNow created the highlight of our Amsterdam trip with this private customized city tour
We had a private city tour with the Sarah, a gorgeous “salonboat” that holds 12 - we were 6 (incl two teenagers), combined with bubbles, soda, luxury bites (Dutch oysters (yum)), cheese, charcuterie and bar bites and bitterballen. - Handy to know that these kinds of boats also have a bathroom onboard. What a treat, to tour with this lovely boat through the smallest of canals outside the regular tourist routes and to see Amsterdam from the water. (And Yes, we also did the “must see” things. Bryce was a fun, competent and knowledgeable skipper full with fun facts and trivia. What’s also great is that Boatnow allows you to define your pickup and dropoff point, so whilst we were picked up almost beside our hotel, we could continue out city exploration by foot from a city center dropoff at the wonderful cafe de jaren. Strong recommendation to use Boatnow, easy booking, great service and communication, sharp price and easy (safe) payment.
Response from the operator: Hi Marc, Thank you for this great review! Love to welcome you again on our lovely Sarah.

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Small-Group Luxury Canal Cruise - Light Art Tour Boat Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.
How much does Small-Group Luxury Canal Cruise - Light Art Tour Boat Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Small-Group Luxury Canal Cruise - Light Art Tour Boat Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.
Is Small-Group Luxury Canal Cruise - Light Art Tour Boat Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Small-Group Luxury Canal Cruise - Light Art Tour Boat Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Small-Group Luxury Canal Cruise - Light Art Tour Boat Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Small-Group Luxury Canal Cruise - Light Art Tour Boat Tour?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Small-Group Luxury Canal Cruise - Light Art Tour Boat Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?
+
On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Amsterdam?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
