I expected more..111.00 USD is not cheap!
I joined this tour because I was particularly interested in a well-coordinated visit to Fátima with a knowledgeable and composed guide, as well as the opportunity to attend Holy Mass. Unfortunately, although there were some enjoyable aspects of the day, the organisation fell short of my expectations in several important respects. I specifically requested an English-language tour but was combined with a Spanish-speaking group. This would not necessarily have been a problem if information had consistently been provided in both languages. However, the guide frequently spoke at length in Spanish and sometimes forgot to provide the English interpretation. Thankfully, one very kind Spanish-speaking participant noticed this and repeatedly drew his attention to it. Communication was also difficult because the guide did not appear to have a portable microphone or audio system. For a guided group tour, particularly at busy locations such as Fátima, some form of amplification would have made it much easier for everyone to hear and follow the explanations. The transportation was another concern. Our vehicle broke down and we had to wait for almost an hour for a replacement vehicle to be brought from Lisbon. Tour operators should ensure that vehicles used for excursions of this nature are comfortable, reliable and properly maintained. My greatest disappointment, however, was the scheduling at Fátima itself. We arrived approximately ten minutes before the 12 noon Mass, yet Mass was not treated as the first priority. Since Mass is time-bound while the other sites can be visited afterwards, I believe we should have gone directly to the Basilica/Sanctuary on arrival. Instead, I eventually arrived about 45 minutes late for Mass. The visits to the homes of the three shepherd children and the apparition sites could easily have followed Mass. That sequence would have allowed those of us wishing to worship to attend Mass from the beginning while still giving the entire group adequate time to appreciate the historical and spiritual sites without feeling rushed. The delays also affected the rest of my day. I had booked another tour for 3:30 p.m. based on the advertised duration of this approximately five-hour excursion and the expectation that we would return to Lisbon at about 1:00 p.m. I ultimately missed that tour. I am also not certain that we completed everything originally scheduled for the Fátima excursion. I do appreciate that the guide tried to make amends by dropping me close to the fourth location on my subsequent tour. That gesture was thoughtful and should be acknowledged. However, it could not fully compensate for the consequences of the delays and poor sequencing of the day. Fátima is a very special destination, and this tour has the potential to provide an excellent experience. I would recommend that the operator improve the scheduling of Mass for participants who request it, provide reliable bilingual interpretation when groups are combined, equip guides with portable microphones, use dependable vehicles, and manage the itinerary more carefully so that advertised tour durations can reasonably be respected. For visitors specifically interested in attending Mass, I strongly recommend making Mass the first activity whenever the group's arrival coincides with a scheduled service. The homes of the shepherd children and the apparition sites can then be visited afterwards at a more relaxed pace. That simple change would have made my experience considerably more enjoyable.

Wonderful Day Trip
We spent a wonderful and moving day on our trip to Fatima with Miguel. He took us to all the important sites of Fatima and narrated the whole time. He is a wealth of information on the visions of the Blessed Mother and the history of the surrounding areas. We were even able to attend Mass at the Chapel. I highly recommend this tour with Miguel.

Fatima
Our guide was somewhat confusing to follow. I think she needs to improve her English and the presentation in the village. Going to church grounds was fine. This was also a shorter tour which we liked after so many long tour days.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the shorter format of the tour and the visit to the church grounds. We truly appreciate your comments and will take them into consideration as we continue to improve the experience. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future!

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
