Nice tour day - a little more info / history would have gotten 5 stars

Beautiful sights! Our driver adapted to our hopes (ie to see the Initiation Well, etc) and suggested a great place for lunch. Only missed opportunity, is the driver didn’t have a lot of information on the areas we went to see, was definitely friendly enough and gave some helpful suggestions, but in past tours, the driver has also been a bit of a guide and able to provide some historical context and details. This driver offered up a little less in that respect.

A great tour and tour guide for the experience in Sintra

This private tour was very convenient and the tour guide was very flexible! We got to see tourist sites, as well as amazing beach views, and even stopped by downtown, which surprisingly had more to explore than we thought. The van that the tour guide drove was comfortable and accommodated our family of 7. The tour guide didn’t go into Pena Palace with us and didn’t come with us to downtown, which allowed us freedom to explore the area within a very reasonable time frame. He also recommended a great restaurant that we stopped by for lunch. Overall, the tour guide was very nice and the tour made the day trip to Sintra very easy and stress free, and it was a great experience!

    Great excursion and amazing organisation

We are a family of 6 and we booked a private tour with Paulo cos we don't like to share excursion with others and many languages speaking at the same time. And we are so happy with our choice! The places were beautiful, we enjoyed it so much to discover this part of Portugal and our guide Paulo was so friendly, calm and respected our wishes. It was so much better than our last expérience in other countries with a shared van! And the van was clean and so comfortable for 6 adults ( it was even possibility to be 8 persons). For sure, we recommended this tour of Sintra, Pena Palace, and Cascais and especially with Paulo. I will recommend it around me and when we'll be back in beautiful Portugal, we will take again their service. Thanks so much for the amazing memories!

    Extraordinary!!!

We had an extraordinary day! Thanks to Paulo’s very good knowledge of the Welcoming of tourists in Cintra, we were able to access very quickly and easily before the rush of tourists. As always, we received a lot of practical information from our guide. How to optimize our visit and above all what patience and kindness! As with the visit to Fatima and the surrounding area, we discovered an aspect of Portuguese history that we did not suspect but which showed the richness and cultural diversity of this great people. Many thanks for all these beautiful discoveries and even more for your great kindness Paulo!

“Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca & Cascais Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does “Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca & Cascais Private Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does “Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca & Cascais Private Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is “Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca & Cascais Private Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule “Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca & Cascais Private Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is “Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca & Cascais Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book “Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca & Cascais Private Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does “Sintra, Pena Palace, Cabo da Roca & Cascais Private Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
