    The highlight of our trip

It was a perfect 7 hour tour!! Our guide Inês was fantastic! She expertly blended the history of Sintra with fascinating insights into its architecture and landmarks. She is every bit as charming as she is knowledgeable. From Quinta da Regaleira to the National Palace, she made the day feel effortless and engaging, the time really just flew by. This tour was easily the highlight of our trip.

    Loved Sintra

Pedro was an amazing guide to have, not only did he know his history really well, but he also brought a great sense of humour, showed us some lovely cafés to enjoy, and went above and beyond whenever needed. Pedro was always aware of what we needed and happy to help us figure out local details that as visitors we wouldn’t have known at all. Sintra is beautiful, I’m already looking forward to coming back!!!

    Mind-blowing place

We had an incredible time with Ricardo! He paid attention to every detail and shared just the right amount of information to keep us engaged without feeling overloaded. If we had tried to explore Sintra on our own, we definitely would have overlooked so many special spots, but this tour truly includes it all. We left completely charmed by Sintra. Thank you so much!

    A perfect Lisbon escape

Our day trip from Lisbon was wonderful. We loved having the freedom to structure the outing exactly as we wished, and Daniel guided us to fantastic viewpoints at the palaces and along the coast. He shared great insights, kept the pace easy, and made the whole experience feel special. Truly a memorable tour — we couldn’t recommend it more!

Cancelled on me last minute with no explanation!

I was really looking forward to going on this trip. I had scheduled it, and then it was cancelled last minute. I was simply sent an email which I did not see until the day of— I was waiting around in the morning at my hotel for at least an hour to get picked up, and then finally I checked my email and realized, to my sadness, the trip was not to be. I was not provided any explanation. I would’ve at least expected some type of phone call or text message to let me know. I’m sure there were unforeseen circumstances that this company was not able to control, but I wish I had been told further in advance, or at least by phone. This was my last day in Lisbon, and my hope was to have gone on a nice trip to Sintra. They are issuing a refund.

Response from the operator: Dear customers, we are very sorry that we had to cancel the tour, but it was cancelled in advance, so we believe that you did not see the cancellation. We never cancel tours but due to force majeure we had to do so. We are sorry you did not see the cancellation email in time, Thank you very much.

Sintra, Cascais & Estoril Private Tour with Palaces from Lisbon: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Sintra, Cascais & Estoril Private Tour with Palaces from Lisbon cost?

    +

Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Sintra, Cascais & Estoril Private Tour with Palaces from Lisbon take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Sintra, Cascais & Estoril Private Tour with Palaces from Lisbon worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Sintra, Cascais & Estoril Private Tour with Palaces from Lisbon?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Sintra, Cascais & Estoril Private Tour with Palaces from Lisbon suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Sintra, Cascais & Estoril Private Tour with Palaces from Lisbon?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Sintra, Cascais & Estoril Private Tour with Palaces from Lisbon start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
