Exceptional Tour!!! Service excellence!!!
I booked this tour through Viator in Feb 2026. We docked in Rome 2 Aug 2026. From the pickup at the port of Civitavecchia to drop off, Maximus Tour Service was professional and punctual. Our driver was Federico, who was such a patient, calm and reliable person. The vehicle was clean and air conditioned which really helped us in the extreme heat experienced on the day in Rome. We got to see so much in the 8 hours of the tour which makes me want to definitely visit Rome again to spend a few days exploring the city further. I recommend this tour to anyone doing a shore excursion in Rome, value for money indeed. Appreciated the opportunity and service offered by Maximus Tour Service!!! Thank you

Exceptional Rome Tour in a day
The booking process and communication with Maximus Tour Service was excellent. I was kept updated through to the actual date of the tour. Our guide was Federico, he was patient and such a pleasant person for the duration of our tour. He was punctual and we managed to cover all the sights of Rome within the 8 hour tour. I strongly recommend this service provider and tour of Rome, service levels and content was amazing!!! The comfortable vehicle accommodates 8 people which was perfect for the hot weather on the day. Thank you Federico.

Great experience!
This tour is a fantastic option if you have limited time in Rome. We arrived by cruise ship and it was perfect for the time we had available. The driver, Paolo, was very professional and extremely skilled. He took us to each destination in a very efficient way. We were able to see a good amountof sites. You are not able to enter any of the sites due to luck of time, how is expected. I would recommend this to others and will use this company again when we return to Rome, because we will definitely be back! Thank you fir everything!

Rome tour in a minivan
Marco made our sightseeing tour truly exceptional. As both our guide and driver, he was personable, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. He provided detailed insights into each of the eight sites we visited and answered all of our questions thoughtfully, not just about the landmarks but also about Rome and Italy as a whole. His enthusiasm and expertise made the experience both informative and enjoyable.

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sightseeing Tour of Rome from Civitavecchia Port: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lake Bracciano.
How much does Sightseeing Tour of Rome from Civitavecchia Port cost?
+
Prices start at $141 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lake Bracciano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sightseeing Tour of Rome from Civitavecchia Port take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lake Bracciano is not rushed.
Is Sightseeing Tour of Rome from Civitavecchia Port worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lake Bracciano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sightseeing Tour of Rome from Civitavecchia Port?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sightseeing Tour of Rome from Civitavecchia Port suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sightseeing Tour of Rome from Civitavecchia Port?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lake Bracciano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lake Bracciano and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sightseeing Tour of Rome from Civitavecchia Port start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lake Bracciano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lake Bracciano?
+
On Outty we rank every Lake Bracciano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Civitavecchia Shore Excursion: Best of Rome Private Tour, Food Tasty and History Tour in Civitavecchia, VIP Tour of Rome (3/5/8hrs) Colosseum & Vatican Museums. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lake Bracciano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lake Bracciano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
