Do not book this tour
Where we come from, a private driver is hospitable. A comfortable and safe ride is a bare minimum. We spent WAY more money than this tour was worth. We could have gotten an Uber for less money and it would have been better transportation. Our drivers were rude, would not allow us to have adequate A/C (it was a hot day and the seats were black leather), drove like maniacs, and talked on their phone the entire trip. They did not give us any knowledge of the monuments and buildings we were visiting. They would not let us drink bottled water in the vehicle (I understand not being able to eat or drink from open containers). They freaked out on us about using lotion or any brief moment the kids put their feet on the seat. This was a 10 hour tour. We were supposed to start at 8 am but we started at 8:40, they dropped us back off at our cruise ship at 6pm on the dot. We had to pay for an extra 2 hours because we were able to get tickets to the Vatican and Sistine Chapel which caused us to leave Rome 30 min after the Drivers wanted to leave (not impeding into the 10 hours). Do not book this tour. Take an Uber instead. You'll save money and be more comfortable.
Response from the operator: I can apologize for the problems that happened yesterday, we certainly put our drivers to the maximum to do well, and it is also important to remember that the tour was booked for 7 passengers and 9 of them showed up, which is very strange because with the search engine of Viator it is impossible to be able to write a figure and then change it, this created a lot of stress because we had to look with great difficulty for another vehicle on a day where there were 7 ships with 3000 passengers each, (We satisfied the need of our customer with even an authorized guide and also driver, the fact that children are not educated to respect the work of others does not justify this review, we have repeatedly asked that children be made safe while driving the vans, but we were told that where children come from they are accustomed to this, obviously we had to contest so as not to have responsibility for any accidents, I am sure that 99% of the things written are certainly questionable, and what is written does not always correspond to the truth, furthermore we were rewarded even with a tip and reassuring us that the tour was excellent.

We saw Rome in a day; and loved it !
Terrific from start to finish on our tour of "Rome in a Day". Mauricio was waiting for us right at the port when we excited the ship. His knowledge of the Rome and the surrounding areas was amazing. He whipped us around the city from stop to stop, yet giving us enough time in each place to experience what we wanted. It was fantastic and we wouldn't do it again without Mauricio and Carratoni Tours. Highly recommend!
