Delicious gluten free experience
We had an amazing time! We had a member of our group that has celiacs and Nuno was so accommodating and made our entire meal for the night gluten free, he had offered to make it gluten free for just one person, but we decided to just make it gluten free for everyone. Everything was delicious, we did go on a Sunday and did a booking at 5:30pm so we were unable to go to the market for shopping, also there's no fresh fish on Sundays as well. We had appetizers, main course, and dessert. His apartment was very clean and easy to get to, clean street and he welcomed us from his balcony so we knew we were in the right spot. Nuno was so wonderful to talk to, very knowledgeable of cooking in other cultures and of places in Portugal. He did a great job of making sure everyone had a job and plenty of wine. We also had some people who weren't drinking and he gave us a very delicious juice. An incredible experience, would happily do again.
Response from the operator: Doing it all gluten free was challenging but you nailed. Thanks for everything.

An Unforgettable Afternoon with Nuno
This was one of the highlights of our trip to Porto. We absolutely loved the experience from start to finish. Our host, Nuno, was warm, personable, and incredibly welcoming. He made everyone feel at home and shared not only wonderful food, but also stories and insights about life in Porto and Nuno's travels. Nuno even sent us the recipes of all we cooked and many more authentic Portugese dishes. We've already cooked one and will be a great way to reflect on our time in Porto. Our group was a bit too large to do the shopping portion of the experience, but honestly, we didn't miss it. The cooking, conversation, and shared meal were more than enough to make this a memorable evening. If you want to experience authentic Portuguese cuisine and get a genuine feel for local life in Porto, this is the experience to book. The meal was amazing, but what really made the afternoon special was Nuno's openness, generosity, and enthusiasm. We would recommend this without hesitation to anyone visiting Porto who wants an authentic, fun, and delicious experience. Thank you, Nuno, for a wonderful afternoon!
Response from the operator: Many thanks to you too. Was indeed a nice party.

Lovely experience cooking with Nuno
Nuno was an exceptional host for our cooking class. He took us around his own neighborhood to shop for ingredients, and we got to see first hand how central food is to everyday Portuguese life. Although it's 4 hours long, Nuno made things easy for us, and it was a very relaxed 4 hours of sipping on wine, eating a variety of dishes, and occasionally chopping some herbs or doing some stirring. Highly recommend!

Fun dinner in a private home
This was such a fun experience. Nuno was a great host. The apartment was comfortable. We shared the experience with another family so there was lots of involvement in cooking. The food was all delicious. Nuno checked in with all of us on our food preferences so the menu was designed for our group. There was plenty of wine and good company. It was a Sunday so we did not get to shop but the cooking was the main experience. I totally recommend Nuno's dinner.

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Shopping, cooking and eating together at my home in Porto: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.
How much does Shopping, cooking and eating together at my home in Porto cost?
+
Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Shopping, cooking and eating together at my home in Porto take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.
Is Shopping, cooking and eating together at my home in Porto worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 79 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Shopping, cooking and eating together at my home in Porto?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Shopping, cooking and eating together at my home in Porto suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Shopping, cooking and eating together at my home in Porto?
+
Around 28 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Shopping, cooking and eating together at my home in Porto start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Porto?
+
On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Porto?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Porto?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
