From Ship Port Civitavecchia to Rome Hotel

We were fortunate just to have one other couple in our transfer so we only made one other stop. Driver was very efficient, pleasant and safe. We were picked up right at our port where the ship came in, very good experience!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re very happy to hear that you had a smooth and comfortable experience with our semi-private transfer from the cruise port. It’s great to know that you appreciated the convenient pick-up directly at the ship, as well as the efficiency, friendliness, and safe driving of our driver. Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back to Italy again soon!

Great Ride from Cruise to Rome

We contracted a semi-private ride from Cruise Terminal to our hotel in Rome. Driver was early and had our name to make it easy to find him among a see of drivers. The van was modern, very clean, and very comfortable with enough room for our four bags and the bags of the other two passengers that shared the ride. The van was roomy enough for all four of us to be comfortable and enjoy the 45-50 min ride to our hotel. Highly recommend this company if you want a semi-private transport.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! We’re delighted to hear that everything went smoothly, from easily finding your driver at the cruise terminal to enjoying a clean, spacious, and comfortable ride to your hotel in Rome. Our semi-private transfer is designed to offer the comfort and quality of a private service while sharing the journey with only a small number of guests, so we’re very happy that you enjoyed the experience. Thank you for recommending us! We truly appreciate it and hope to welcome you back to Rome again soon.

    Efficient but very overpriced

The van was crowded and driver picked up passengers from other cruiseship first. Driver was very nice and helped with luggage. The ride is long( about an hour). Although we booked well in advance the seating was tight. It cost almost $200 and a top was expected. This was very expensive and we were told we could have gotten a cab from port to our hotel for about half the price. I like viator but this was very overpriced. For that kind of money they could at least offer a bottle of water.

Response from the operator: Hello dear customer, we would just like to remind you that you booked a shared transfer from Civitavecchia port, so it's only natural that the driver picked up other customers too. The price and what's included is all listed and explained in the product description

    Be very careful

First the coach doesn't pick you up at the port! The coach is waiting outside the port property at a plaza away from the port property. There is no shuttle from the ship debarkation area to the plaza. Taxies wouldn't take you to the plaza because they have to pay to come back into the port property. The only way to get there is to walk! (with all luggage from a 14 day cruise!) My pickup time was set for 10:00 AM. The driver called me and wanted to know where we were? When I told him we were walking to the plaza he reported he couldn't wait any longer and had to leave at 9:30AM. He literally stranded us half an hour before our pickup time. This tour operator is disorganized, unscrupulous, and has no integrity. After reading what this company and it's employees did to my wife and I and you chose to do business with them you are doing so at you own peril. Don L Danville, Ca.

Response from the operator: Dear sir, you posted this review in the wrong business. We do not pickup at the plaza, we pick up all customers from their cruise piers. We also do not have your name on our records.

Great service. Clean and comfortable van. An unexpected drop off at airport

Driver was great. Pick up was on time and driver walked through waiting passengers with my name displayed on a table. He helped with the luggage and informed us that he would be making another stop at another pier before leaving. Only criticism was we weren’t expecting to drop off a couple at the airport, which added a little more time to our commute.

Response from the operator: Hello dear customer, we thank you for your review and are happy that the driver was helpful. We however want to point out that you booked a shared transportation service, not private, so of course in a shared service there might be other dropoffs before yours.

Shared Transfer From Civitavecchia Port to Rome: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lake Bracciano.

How much does Shared Transfer From Civitavecchia Port to Rome cost?

    +

Prices start at $130 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lake Bracciano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Shared Transfer From Civitavecchia Port to Rome take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lake Bracciano is not rushed.

Is Shared Transfer From Civitavecchia Port to Rome worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lake Bracciano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Shared Transfer From Civitavecchia Port to Rome?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Shared Transfer From Civitavecchia Port to Rome suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Shared Transfer From Civitavecchia Port to Rome?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lake Bracciano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lake Bracciano and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Shared Transfer From Civitavecchia Port to Rome start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lake Bracciano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lake Bracciano?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lake Bracciano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Civitavecchia Shore Excursion: Best of Rome Private Tour, Food Tasty and History Tour in Civitavecchia, VIP Tour of Rome (3/5/8hrs) Colosseum & Vatican Museums. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lake Bracciano?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lake Bracciano?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
