Excellent Way to See Sequoia National Park
Our tour was excellent! Pick up was right on time and the van was very comfortable. Our guide was attentive to the needs of our small group; she managed the crowds and traffic well; and she was very personable. Money well spent! 😊

A DAY IN SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK
We had an absolutely wonderful day. Our tour guide, Alysia was phenomenal. She was knowledgeable, on time, & shared so many interesting stories & history of the park. A picnic lunch was provided. Alysia even added the right touch with a red & white checkered tablecloth. My husband & I were joined by a family of 4 ( 2 young children~ 9 & 7) & they were in awe of the information Alysia shared. We thought the kids added just the right touch of magic to our day. PLUS how can you not mention the majestic trees, the landscapes, the rocks, the river,& seeing the "baby" Sequoias sprouting. It was a marvelous adventure( & we were more than thankful Alysia was the driver)

Sequoia National Park Tour Was Not Worth the Cost
Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon Tour Was Not Worth the Cost In my opinion, the Sequoia National Park Tour was not worth the cost. The tour was advertised as being led by a former park ranger, but our guide was not a former park ranger. While he was polite and seemed knowledgeable about the area, the tour itself was extremely disappointing. For a seven-hour tour, we saw very little. We drove past several sights that were on our must-see list, only to be told, “We don’t have time for that, but you can do that on your own another day.” In reality, we were allowed to get out of the van at only two or three locations before it was time to head back. Seeing a landmark while driving past it is not the same as actually getting out, exploring it, and appreciating it. What was especially frustrating is that we ultimately had to return and do the entire park on our own in order to see the sights we had originally wanted to visit. When we did, we were able to see everything on our list—and more—by noon. We accomplished in a few hours on our own what the seven-hour tour failed to accomplish. In fact, the tour ended up costing us valuable time because we had to spend another day visiting the places we had expected the tour to show us. The guide was polite, and the sandwiches provided were very good, but those were really the only significant positives. Unfortunately, the guide did not make much effort to help us see the specific places on our must-see list, even though we were able to visit them easily on our own. If you decide to take this tour with this company, I would strongly recommend leaving as early as possible—around 5:00 a.m.—before the crowds arrive. I would also recommend arranging to start the tour inside the park, if possible, rather than having your tour time begin at pickup and then spending a significant portion of that time driving to the park. Since your seven-hour tour clock starts at pickup, maximizing the time actually spent inside the park would make much more sense. Overall, this was one of the biggest wastes of money I have experienced on a tour. I would have expected a seven-hour guided tour of Sequoia National Park to provide much more time actually seeing and experiencing the park's major sights. Instead, we spent much of the tour driving past places we wanted to see and being told we didn't have time to stop. We ultimately had a much better experience exploring the park ourselves.

Our Small-Group Sequoia Tour is specifically designed as a highlights tour of Sequoia National Park. We do not advertise that this tour visits Kings Canyon National Park, and we do not offer a small-group tour to Kings Canyon. While some of our guides have previously worked as National Park rangers, we do not advertise or guarantee that a tour will be led by a former ranger. Our Three Rivers departure point is approximately six miles from the Sequoia National Park entrance. Our tours include multiple stops at Sequoia's major highlights, with the majority of the day spent outside the vehicle exploring the park. We do not offer a tour consisting of only two or three stops as described in this review. Our small-group tour is intentionally designed to be accessible and enjoyable for people with a wide range of ages and abilities. It is not advertised as a hiking tour, and we do not include extensive hikes such as the Congress Trail or Tokopah Falls. Our goal is to show guests as much of Sequoia as reasonably possible during approximately seven hours while allowing time to get out of the vehicle, experience the major sights and enjoy the park. The suggestion in this review that a public group tour should begin at 5:00 a.m. is simply not practical for the broad range of guests we serve and would make the tour inaccessible to many people. Guests looking for extensive hiking or a highly strenuous itinerary would be better suited to a private or specialized hiking experience rather than a general highlights tour. One of the benefits of touring with us is that guests do not have to navigate the park themselves, spend time searching for limited parking, or wait in long shuttle lines during busy periods. This allows us to use the available time to cover a broad range of Sequoia's highlights. We take deep pride in the experiences we provide, as reflected in more than 650 five-star reviews accumulated over many years, and we also take criticism seriously when a guest feels we have fallen short. Given the significant discrepancies between this review and the tour we advertise and operate, we would welcome the opportunity to verify the reservation and better understand what occurred.
