Fun Napa experience!
We had a great experience! Loved all the recommendations. By the way Silenus winery is closed. They were they were remodeling. Forgot to tell you when we dropped the bikes off! Our favorite was Laird winery.
Response from the operator: Glad you guys had a great time.

Best event of our 5 day trip in Napa
We had a great time exploring Napa and the surrounding areas on the ebikes. We were a group of 6, 3 couples. We had planned ahead for 1 tasting, but Chris the owner gave us a couple other reccomendations that would take walk in, and WOW did they not disappoint. He had us in a couple great areas of easy riding that made it feel like we were in the Italy country side. After we booked Chris went out of his way to help answer our questions, and took our lunch orders. The lunch was a charcuterie style board, it was amazing, plenty of meat, cheese, fruits and more. Overall we spent 7hrs out for the day, tasted 3 wineries and had an amazing day seeing the beautiful scenery. If we could recommend anything from our Napa trip, we would push this to the top of the list. not to mention there bikes were in great shape, easy to use and we loved supporting a small family business. DO NOT BOOK THIS!!!
I do not recommend it. When I booked, I was imagining biking in wine country, but it is not the case. You basically follow a bike path that has nothing to see but back of houses, dirty garages and storage units. It takes you to Youthville which is a place when they have tasting rooms, no vineyards. Waste of money and time. The owner Chris didn't seem to care about the customers. Did a small briefing about the bike but did not adjust the seats. Looked like he was in a rush to get rid of us at our arrival and at drop off. The lunch was ok but the big insult was the tiny water bottles he included. They were so small we could finish it in one sip. The bag at the back of my bike had the zipper broken so I lost my $80 camel back water bottle and my sunscreen. There was no place to put a water bottle on the bike and only room for 1 bottle of wine. The only good point is the bikes were great and they had cell phone holders. NOT WORTH the amount we paid. We were both very disappointed to have lost 1 out of 2 days in napa with this lame activity.
Response from the operator: Hi Catherine, We are so sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your day out on our ebikes. It was not my intention to not have your seat properly set for you, I always let the rides test the bikes out in the parking lot after the instructions on their own, so they don’t feel pressured with me standing at watching, When i came out a couple mins later to check on you both, you had already left the lot for the day. I again am sorry for the confusion on this. Im not sure what route you took for the day but 3 miles from the shop out of the 9 mile ride to Yountville the bike path (Napa Valley Vine Trail) goes through the vineyards on both sides, the same route the NApa Wine Train takes. There are multiple tasting rooms on the vineyards properties to stop at like Laird, Silenus, Chandon to name a few, you would have rode right past them. (If you thought you would be riding on the dirt of the actual vineyards on the wineries property, we are sorry for that, there is no riding on the dirt paths thru the vineyards due to the dirt and dust that would kill the vines & grapes) Yes we do provide a small 10oz water bottle with the rentals, no matter if you add the charcuterie lunch or not. When you returned to the shop that evening you never mentioned to me that you lost your nice water bottle or sunscreen, you just showed me th bag had broken the zipper, so you used the bungee strings on the bag to secure it down. I would have gladly taken care of lost items, if it was our fault for a bokeh bag. Yes we do not have a water bottle holder on our bikes, due to our insurance polices for renting bikes, that’s why we provide the bags with a water, lock, map. Yes our bags will hold only 2 bottles of wine if you put the lock on the handle bars. But we also offer add on options in store of front baskets and padded wine holders if you plan on purchasing wine for yourself. I apologize that you felt like your day was wasted, we truly have never heard this response from our renters about the dedicated bike path, and there day spent riding in the vineyards and wine tasting. We hope the rest of your trip to the area was great! Thank you, Chris

Great day with e-bikes!
Highly recommend!! We had an absolute blast. We loved the e-bikes and everyone at Fat Tire was so helpful and nice. The picnic lunch exceeded our expectations (we thought we would get a couple crackers and cheese - ended up with meats, cheeses, bread, olives, dried fruit and more!). We will definitely come back. It was a fantastic way to tour around Napa!
Response from the operator: Thanks for taking the time to leave a review about your experience with us. So glad you enjoyed the locally sourced and made lunch. We look forward to hosting you in the future again.

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Self Guided Full Day E-bike Rental With Picnic Lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Napa & Sonoma.
How much does Self Guided Full Day E-bike Rental With Picnic Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $159 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Napa & Sonoma usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Self Guided Full Day E-bike Rental With Picnic Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Napa & Sonoma is not rushed.
Is Self Guided Full Day E-bike Rental With Picnic Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Napa & Sonoma, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Self Guided Full Day E-bike Rental With Picnic Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Self Guided Full Day E-bike Rental With Picnic Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Self Guided Full Day E-bike Rental With Picnic Lunch?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Napa & Sonoma can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Napa & Sonoma and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Self Guided Full Day E-bike Rental With Picnic Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Napa & Sonoma within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Napa & Sonoma?
+
Napa and Sonoma are all about how a tour is put together: which wineries it can actually book, how many stops, whether lunch and tasting fees are included, and whether it lifts off in a balloon at sunrise. We weight inclusions and transparency heavily in the ranking here. On Outty we rank every Napa & Sonoma experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Napa Valley Small Group Winery Tour, #1 Sonoma Walking Food, Wine Tasting & History Tour (Public Tour), Sonoma Valley Pedal Assist Bike Tour with Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Napa & Sonoma?
+
March to May and September to November, with harvest crush in September. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Napa & Sonoma?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
