About this experience

It is a fabulous tour that will take you to a lot of different interesting sites. Have a quick introduction to Time Out Market street-food concept, ride through the down town area, enjoy the sightseeing from Parque Eduardo VII garden and feel the Chiado’s fancy atmosphere. Be amazed with the Arco do Triunfo at Augusta Street, built after the 1755 earthquake. Admire the traditional Calçada Portuguesa and the splendid stores and buildings at Liberty Avenue. Watch the Eiffel “pupil” lift (Santa Justa lift) with more than 100 years, just next to Rossio square. Walk in to the hidden cultural house of Alentejo. As we get around in the City Centre, you will discover the oldest restaurant in town, the oldest brewery in the country and the oldest bookshop in the world. Yes! You can see all that and even some other old traditional stores, like the “Ginjinha” sweet liqueur shop, the salty cod fish house and the national bakery. We also take a peek at the tinny scary doll hospital, LOL.

Great way to see Lisbon

We're a family of four with two teenagers and have done Segway tours in a few places - this was by far the best. We saw the beautiful city of Lisbon and learned about its history along the way. Miguel was the consummate guide; friendly, knowledgeable and ensured our safety and enjoyment. I would highly recommend this tour.

Response from the operator: Thank you so so much for your great review, I am very grateful 👍 regards to the family 👋👋👋 Miguel

Amazing tour!

We had a great time driving the segways through the city centre of Lisboa. The tour guide was such a nice and amazing guy, and we would definetly come back if we’re ever in Lisboa again. Take this segway tour whenever you’re around; we recommend it!

Response from the operator: Hi, thank you very very much. You were super nice. Have a great day 😊 Miguel

Lisbon by Segway ... see what is needed on your own rhythm

Nice experience. The perfect alternative for the hop-on hop-off. Miguel as a guide knows what he's doing. The video and pictures at the end are a nice surplus!

Response from the operator: Super thank you for your generous review. My privilege to be your guide. 😊👍

This was a great experience! Michael made you feel comfortable and safe. He showed us the city and told some history and made lots of pictures and video's which he e-mailed us. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Lisbon.

Segway City Center: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Segway City Center cost?

+

Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Segway City Center take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Segway City Center worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Segway City Center?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Segway City Center suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Segway City Center?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Segway City Center start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

+

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
