    Surprisingly Amazing!

Absolutely amazing! This was a five star experience from beginning to end. I booked this tour as we, party of 7, were on the NCL Dawn for the day and needed an excursion to Schotia and the cruise line was sold out. We are so glad we booked this tour with Walter (Driver and Planner) and our guide Eddy. We were met at the port by Eddy and driven up to Schotia where we met up with Walter. We transferred into the Safari vehicle and began our Safari. When I say we were not ready, we were not ready for the elephants that ran up to the vehicle. It was amazing!! We saw 3 of the big five and countless miscellaneous animals. One thing that stood out is our guide Eddy clearly knew this reserve very well. He knew every animal species, how to interact with them and how to properly react to the animals behavior. To top this off, we were treated to an amazing lunch. I highly recommend this company. Truly looking forward to keeping in touch and if we ever return, we will definitely be contacting Walter.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your review. God bless you and ae look forward to see you soon again

Overnight stay in Addo elephant Park and sundowner and sunrise game drives

We loved our 24 hrs in Addo. We saw lions hundreds of elephants (there are 700 in the park) hyenas buffalo warthogs tortoises zebras koodos jackals secretary birds ostrich etc. We stayed overnight in a comfortable chalet in the restcamp to do the sundowner and 5.30am sunrise game drives. After that we drove ourselves 3 times and while we loved every drive and enjoyed driving ourselves, we saw many more animals with a guide. Our guide Ryan knew just where we might find animals. For instance he heard a lion roar and stopped and waited, we saw it as a speck in the distance. Ryan raced around and parked near the lion and as we waited the lion walked right by us. On our own we would have missed it completely. Our 3rd drive was when we drove in at the north and out at the south on our way to the airport enjoying the scenery while in the open ground seeing all the game grazing. After our 24hrs in the park up at 5 etc we were exhausted and loved staying nearby at Geralds Gift for a couple of days relaxation before heading home. The food in the rest camp restaurant was surprisingly good and they had WiFi too.

    Great adventure with Walter

Walter was very good with his communications, was on time to pick us up, and went beyond our time to make sure we saw as much as possible. He is very knowledgeable about Addo, it's history and animals, and is also very entertaining. Our only advice is to make sure vehicle windows are cleaned and work properly before each tour.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your comment . We will in future make sure we have descent utilities to keep windows clean . It's unfortunate that It was an early drive and had passed through an area with heavy fog prior to arrival . We hope to see you again in the near future . Best regards Walter
