Sayulita tour
Chema and driver, who i think was Julio, were a wealth of knowledge on local customs, history and foods. We were a group of 16, the stop for lunch was great, the chocolate stop didn’t have enough room for us all to get inside so those not in the shop missed the talk. There wasn’t enough time for lunch and shopping in Sayulita. The stop in San Pancho was also quite short due to a medical issue which the tour guides handles very well. Commendations for that! Enjoyed the tour and guides. 10/10

Itinerary Not Followed and Tour Time Significantly Shortened
We were picked up late and the itinerary was not followed. San Pancho was reduced to only 30 minutes, and overall tour time was significantly shortened. This experience did not match what was advertised and is not recommended.

Not Enough Time
The trip to Sayulita and San Pancho were nice. I wish we would have had a longer time to explore the small towns. We stopped at a candy stand and jewelry shop that took extra time. The tequila tasting was nice. The restaurant at Sayulita took FOREVER cutting into our experience.
Response from the operator: Dear , Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the trip to Sayulita and San Pancho, as well as the tequila tasting. We sincerely apologize that the time to explore the towns felt shorter than expected. We completely understand your concern and regret that stops such as shop visits and the extended wait at the restaurant in Sayulita affected your overall experience. Our goal is always to provide a well-balanced itinerary that allows guests to fully enjoy each destination. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve our scheduling and time management for future tours. Your comments will be taken into account to enhance the experience for our guests. Thank you again for traveling with us, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future. Warm regards,

Needed more time to explore the cities
This experience could have been better. The stay in San Pancho was very very brief, did not really get to adventure at all. The trip to Sayulita was a bit worse. Sayulita is such a great town and we wanted to explore way more, however, the restaurant that they make you go to (not included by the way) took so long. We waited in the restaurant for about 1.5-2 hours and only had 20-30 minutes to explore the town. The food was also disappointing…
Response from the operator: Hola, muy buenas tardes.

Too much sales
We spent too much time at jewelry store and tequila tasting hacienda and very little at Sayulita and San Pancho. I didn’t know I signed up for sales. Change name to Sayulita and San Pancho SALES tour. Tequila tasting guy said inappropriate comments when trying to be funny. Driver and José were great.
Response from the operator: Dear, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We would like to kindly clarify that the jewelry store visit and the tequila tasting are part of the tour itinerary, which is clearly described at the time of booking. These stops are included as a cultural experience of the region and participation is optional; guests are always free to browse or simply relax if they prefer. The time allocated for Sayulita and San Pancho follows the planned itinerary and overall tour logistics, with the intention of providing a balanced experience for all guests. That said, we do appreciate your comments as they help us continue reviewing and improving our operations. Regarding the tequila tasting, we take any feedback about guest interactions seriously and will review the situation internally. We would also like to note that this partner works with us regularly and adheres to professional service standards. We are very pleased to hear that both the driver and José provided excellent service, and we will be happy to pass along your kind words to them. Thank you again for your feedback and for choosing us. We remain committed to providing transparent, well-organized experiences as described in our listings. Kind regards,

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sayulita and San Pancho Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Vallarta.
How much does Sayulita and San Pancho Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $33 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Vallarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sayulita and San Pancho Tour take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Vallarta is not rushed.
Is Sayulita and San Pancho Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Vallarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sayulita and San Pancho Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sayulita and San Pancho Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sayulita and San Pancho Tour?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Vallarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Vallarta and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sayulita and San Pancho Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Vallarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Puerto Vallarta?
+
On Outty we rank every Puerto Vallarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Winner 2026 Downtown Vallarta Food Tour with Vallarta Food Tours, Signature Taco Tour in PV with Vallarta Eats, Food & Mixology Tour:Tequila,Tacos, Mezcal and Agave Cocktails. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Puerto Vallarta?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Puerto Vallarta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
