Views are worth the effort
Nice views during the exhausting hike on the volcano, worth the effort! I skipped the information moment, so I just had enough time to walk the whole path at my own pace. The hot springs were not that hard to get to, if you are a good swimmer. The temperature of the sea in May is a challenge, I needed some time to acclimate before I could start swimming. Therefore the stop was too short. I had no more energy to climb in Thirassia, but I enjoyed my milkshake a lot, the stop was a bit too long without going up to town.
Response from the operator: Dear guests, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the spectacular views from the volcano and found the hike rewarding despite the challenge. It’s also great to know you enjoyed the swim at the hot springs and had a relaxing break in Thirassia — especially the milkshake! We truly appreciate your helpful feedback regarding the duration of the stops, as comments like yours help us better understand different guest experiences and expectations. Thank you again for joining us, and we hope to welcome you back for another memorable adventure in Santorini.

We booked this trip and...
We booked this trip and they said they would meet us at our hotel and last minute they changed the pick up location to somewhere that was a 50 minute walk away so we wouldn’t make it in time.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We regret the inconvenience caused by the communication issues and take your comments seriously. Kindly note that the point and time was clearly shared with you in advance of the activity date. A designated nearby the hotel meeting point was provided, as per standard operating procudures in the area, as your hotel was located in an area which is not accessible for a bus(50seater coach). We appreciate your understanding and will use your feedback to further improve guest experience.

Wet but worth it
Was a wonderful adventure even though we got soaked walking to the volcano on the one day in September it rained. Guides very experienced and did well at keeping everyone informed. Definitely worth the trip. I'd do it again,
Response from the operator: Thank you for your fantastic review! We’re glad you enjoyed the adventure, rain and all, and appreciated our guides’ expertise. We’d be thrilled to have you join us again! Best regards, NST Travel

Terrible communication and poor customer service
I booked this activity with a pick up from my hotel. Last minute they decided to change the location spot. We went to the location spot by the time they asked us to arrive. With no clear directions they wanted us to wait on the road for the bus. The bus ended up leaving us. When we tried to call company they kept hanging up on us and sent messages through WhatsApp. I kept asking the last to answer and she kept saying call the platform. This was the worst experience I have ever had in my life. Terrible communication and poor customer service.

Great mix of activities,...
Great mix of activities, although would have liked more time to spend at the hot springs. Be aware that there is quite a bit of walking involved (especially at the first part of the trip at the Volcano). All in all a good day out, well organised by NST Travel and good value for money.

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Santorini Volcanic Islands Cruise: Volcano, Hot Springs and Thirassia: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santorini.
How much does Santorini Volcanic Islands Cruise: Volcano, Hot Springs and Thirassia cost?
+
Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santorini usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Santorini Volcanic Islands Cruise: Volcano, Hot Springs and Thirassia take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santorini is not rushed.
Is Santorini Volcanic Islands Cruise: Volcano, Hot Springs and Thirassia worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 383 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santorini, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Santorini Volcanic Islands Cruise: Volcano, Hot Springs and Thirassia?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Santorini Volcanic Islands Cruise: Volcano, Hot Springs and Thirassia suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Santorini Volcanic Islands Cruise: Volcano, Hot Springs and Thirassia?
+
Around 134 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santorini can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santorini and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Santorini Volcanic Islands Cruise: Volcano, Hot Springs and Thirassia start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santorini within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santorini?
+
On Outty we rank every Santorini experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Premium Catamaran Cruise in Santorini including Oia, Private Santorini Tailor Made - Choice of the Guest!, Private Classic Santorini Panorama: Visit Top Destinations. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santorini?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santorini?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
