Amazing day full of contrasts
This is the second tour I've done with this company. I really enjoyed Santa Cruz and La Laguna. I had expected them to be more of a big city with normal tall buildings like any other big city in the world, but was really impressed by the hidden gems at every corner... a small church, a bridge over a "barranco" and the architecture of official buildings. La Laguna was nice too, but I liked the atmosphere of Santa Cruz better. Anaga forest is a whole different story. It's like entering a whole different world, such lush green vegetation, roads so covered by tall trees that they become dark in full daylight, and the views are breathtaking. The little treck in the Forest of the Senses as they call it was something you need to experience... can't be described in words. A shoutout to the guide for his knowledge, and specially the fun way in which he told us everything, and the music accompanying in the bus! I would certainly book with this company again.

trip to Santa Cruz & la Laguna
we were told that we'd be picked up at our resort, at 08.50h coach arrived at 09.10h then informed that a text had been sent previously, advising of amended pick up. said text arrived later, when on the coach. as for the trip - the guide seemed to spend more time explaining matters in Spanish than English. we were surprised by the amount of walking in Santa Cruz, having anticipated more of the city tour, by bus. one of us has mobility issues. disappointed by the visit to la Laguna. there are nicer, prettier areas, equally historic on the island.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry that the excursion did not fully meet your expectations. Regarding the pickup, although we carefully plan all routes, traffic conditions and other unforeseen circumstances can occasionally cause slight delays. This is why we recommend that guests contact our office if their transfer has not arrived on time, as we can provide live updates. The delayed text message may also have been the result of mobile network issues beyond our control. All of our guides are official, licensed by the Government of the Canary Islands. Spanish naturally uses more words than English to explain the same information, which can sometimes make the Spanish commentary seem longer. Excursion coaches are not permitted to drive through Santa Cruz city centre, so all tours follow the authorised route on foot between the Mercado de Nuestra Señora de África and Plaza de España, as stated in the excursion description before booking. While we are sorry you did not enjoy La Laguna, its historic centre has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999 and is considered the cultural capital of the Canary Islands. Tenerife is also home to many other wonderful historic towns, such as Candelaria, Icod de los Vinos and Garachico, and we hope to welcome you again on another Tenerife tour to discover these beautiful destinations.

We booked by Viator, the bus had no signs from this firm! Difficult to get the right bus! It took very long time with all the pickups! The stop in the capital was ok. The bus Trip in the northern island had a much too large bus ( too many people) for the bad and curving roads. La Laguna was great, they could have tould us more about what to see , for instance the university. The English from the guide was bad, the German even worse! But normally I understand both languages ( German best), but here it was quite difficult. Please make a tour with better guides, less people and let us rather pay more for it

Santa Cruz - Anaga - La Laguna too much driving
Not enough time in Santa Cruz. Suggest passengers are informed where the toilets are in the market and to purchase food as the next opportunity is at 3:30 pm. Passengers need to be clear on when the bus is leaving as we waited nearly 30 mins in Santa Cruz for 2 no shows and 30 mins in Anaga for a couple. There was only time there to use the facilities and not see the hiking trail. We enjoyed La Laguna but only had 75 minutes there. All told I would not recommend this trip.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that this excursion did not meet your expectations. This tour is designed as a panoramic day trip covering Santa Cruz, Anaga and La Laguna in a single day, which unfortunately does mean a significant amount of driving and limited time at each stop. We understand your frustration regarding the time spent waiting for late passengers, as this can impact the overall schedule and reduce the time available to enjoy each location. Your comments about clearer departure times and better communication are very valid and will be passed on to our operations team. We also appreciate your practical suggestions regarding toilet facilities and food options in Santa Cruz. Informing guests more clearly about these details can certainly help improve comfort during longer excursions, and we thank you for highlighting this. While we’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed La Laguna, we regret that the overall pacing of the tour left you disappointed. Thank you again for your honest and constructive review. Feedback like yours helps us identify areas where we can improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to offer you a more satisfying experience in the future with Atlántico Excursiones.

Comfortable, fun and great to see the island
Excellent tour! Just enough time in all the right places. Really interesting guide and super driver. Really glad we did this and saw what the rest of the island can offer. Was initially put off reading some poor reviews but these were not true. The bus was prompt and the driving to and from was not long. There were lots of toilet stops and the aircon was fine. La Laguna was the highlight. The only suggestion would be to bring a snack / sandwich as lunch was about 2.30.

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Santa Cruz, Laguna and Laurisilva Forest Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.
How much does Santa Cruz, Laguna and Laurisilva Forest Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Santa Cruz, Laguna and Laurisilva Forest Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.
Is Santa Cruz, Laguna and Laurisilva Forest Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 42 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Santa Cruz, Laguna and Laurisilva Forest Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Santa Cruz, Laguna and Laurisilva Forest Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Santa Cruz, Laguna and Laurisilva Forest Tour?
+
Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Santa Cruz, Laguna and Laurisilva Forest Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tenerife?
+
On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tenerife?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tenerife?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
