    A great experience ! A Must do !

This was one of the coolest experience for us. It was our first try dive and I got to say a huge thank you to our instructors Tommy and master diver Adri! They made us feel calm and did a lot of the leg work for us. They also gave great advice and tips for our future diving experiences. It was so peaceful and beautiful and I am grateful I was able to have such great company.

    A great experience

We went diving with Matthias a few days ago. It was our first time scuba diving, and Matthias made us feel very comfortable and confident. It was really incredible to see the whole world that exists underwater, that you can’t imagine when you’re just swimming or sitting on the beach. I would highly recommend scuba diving, with this company in particular, to anyone! We did go snorkeling with a different company several days later, where they had people diving off a boat, and I think the approach we took of entering the water from the beach seemed like a much easier way to acclimate.

    GOOD EXPERIENCE SOME ISSUES

Me and my partner had fun for the most part, the Ukrainian guy there was 10/10 no complaints the other gentleman was a bit impatient I can not recall his name, the masks were having issues suctioning to my face and kept letting sea water in the mask up to the eyeballs which caused me to have to go back up to the surface after 20 mins of this the other guy we were with (not the Ukrainian guy) the guy got frustrated and took my partner away rather than staying in the group as was originally planned but she enjoyed it and that's what I care about more than anything I just snorkelled for the remainder of our session which was okay, you do have to walk from a car park to the sea with your equipment on which my partner couldn't do which wasn't an issue as the Ukrainian guy carried it however I walked it over as I was capable but by the time you get to the water you are trying to catch your breath, granted I am a bigger guy however I do weight train however by time I got to the water I was fatigued then getting in the sea water its obviously quite cold which made breathing increase more as well so it was difficult to regulate breath once in the water as I was still trying to recover from the short walk over, whether that was me being too chunky for my own good or an issue with the experience up for debate but also the fact my partner couldn't carry the BCD and oxygen over to the water and she genuinely is fit as a fiddle and struggled. we were lucky enough for it to be just us which made the experience better but I would potentially advise taking Vaseline if you have a short beard to assist with suction. overall i would give a 6.5 out of ten.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! We are happy that you enjoyed it! We’re sorry if you found the walk along the beach too tiring. Unfortunately, there’s no other way to reach this dive site. It’s actually the best one on the island, especially for beginners, as it’s very sheltered and there are lots of fish and a fantastic volcanic underwater landscape to see. For this reason, it is even visited by diving schools located quite a long way away. If anyone has trouble carrying their equipment, our instructors are always happy to help. You could simply have let us know. We wish you many more fantastic diving experiences in the future. Best regards from the whole Ocean Trek team.

Great overall, but could be overwhelming

Great staff and great experience overall. The reason it only gets 4 out of 5 stars is because there is too much information. Understandable why, as it could be a dangerous activity, but it gives you a feeling of danger and overwhelm before you even go inside the ocean. I had done it once before and there was less information, which had made it a much more fun and enjoyable experience. P.S. if you are a beginner diver, they will not let you bring your own action camera. Photos will cost you €30 extra

Response from the operator: Hi Roam, thank you for your kind visit. We can understand your criticism of the briefing, which was perhaps too extensive for you. As you have dived before, it may not have been necessary for you. However, many of our diving students also find it very good that we explain everything in detail. The fact that beginners are not allowed to bring their own camera is a firm rule of all diving organisations. The students should concentrate on the diving equipment, the diving instructor and the new environment.

Scuba Diving Beginner's Session in Costa Adeje: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.

How much does Scuba Diving Beginner's Session in Costa Adeje cost?

    +

Prices start at $107 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Scuba Diving Beginner's Session in Costa Adeje take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.

Is Scuba Diving Beginner's Session in Costa Adeje worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 167 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Scuba Diving Beginner's Session in Costa Adeje?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Scuba Diving Beginner's Session in Costa Adeje suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Scuba Diving Beginner's Session in Costa Adeje?

    +

Around 58 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Scuba Diving Beginner's Session in Costa Adeje start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tenerife?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tenerife?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tenerife?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
