Glad we chose the big boat option
We were traveling with older family members, so the larger boat was a comfortable choice. Everything was well organized and the scenery around Angthong was stunning. Boarding took a bit longer than expected, but the trip itself was excellent.

Simple, flexible and you won’t go wrong with it
We had a wonderful experience on the Big Boat Trip to Ang Thong National Marine Park! One thing we really liked about this tour was the flexibility; you could choose between kayaking or hiking, which worked out perfectly since my friend didn’t want to kayak that day. We had a great time exploring the two islands on our own while the staff provided clear instructions and enough information on how to get up and down safely. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They knew the best viewpoints for photos, what to see at each stop, and how much time was needed to explore and return on schedule. Lunch was served onboard — simple, local, and satisfying. Overall, it was a great experience, well organized, and definitely a tour you can confidently choose if you’re visiting Koh Samui or Ang Thong Marine Park!

Kayaking was advertised, but it's only 15 minutes. The whole trips consists of 3 hours ultra slow boat ride, and 2 hours of transfer hotel<->boat. Our hotel was in an inconvenient location, so the transport to the boat did not want to pick us up, and they informed us about it late the evening before the trip. We had to arrange a cab. A few days before the trip I emailed them asking about vegetarian lunch options. Received no answer, and of course, I could only eat plain rice for lunch. I want my money back, thanks.
Response from the operator: Thank you for booking with us and for taking the time to leave us a review. We appreciate your feedback on this and we will coordinate with the operator to improve the services that we provide to customers. We appreciate your kind understanding and cooperation. Thank you again!

well organized tour and crew, eveything was like as said
Tour seemed well-organized and competently run, and for almost a full day was good value for money for me. One minor point was the food, which was decidedly mediocre on the day I went. I would have preferred fresh fruit or something similar.
Response from the operator: We’re thrilled you had a good time!

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Samui Island Tour to Angthong National Marine Park by Big Boat: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Koh Samui.
How much does Samui Island Tour to Angthong National Marine Park by Big Boat cost?
+
Prices start at $48 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Koh Samui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Samui Island Tour to Angthong National Marine Park by Big Boat take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Koh Samui is not rushed.
Is Samui Island Tour to Angthong National Marine Park by Big Boat worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Koh Samui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Samui Island Tour to Angthong National Marine Park by Big Boat?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Samui Island Tour to Angthong National Marine Park by Big Boat suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Samui Island Tour to Angthong National Marine Park by Big Boat?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Koh Samui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Koh Samui and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Samui Island Tour to Angthong National Marine Park by Big Boat start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Koh Samui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Koh Samui?
+
On Outty we rank every Koh Samui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angthong National Marine Park VIP Small Group Tour, Cooking Class in Koh Samui with Micro Organic Garden, Half Day Elephant Home Sanctuary in Samui. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Koh Samui?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Koh Samui?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
