Brilliant place- highly recommend
We had a fantastic experience on our tour today at Samui Elephant home. We did lots of research to ensure we were only booking an ethical tour and we were very pleased with the experience. All staff are very friendly and gave lots of information about each elephant. It is clear they show a lot of love and care for each elephant. The activities were very enjoyable and informative and we learnt lots about the animals. We would recommend to anyone visiting Ko Samui! Thank you Bestie for a great afternoon

Great all round
The guide Bestie was great, loved learning about the history of the sanctuary and being able to feed the elephants.

Absolutely amazing
This was such a beautiful sanctuary. You can really tell how much everyone that works here cares for the elephants. My favourite was princess! We got to feed them as well as see them bathe in mud baths and play. It was so nice seeing them so happy. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgable too. Bestie took us around the museum telling us about the history of elephants, what we can do to further support the unethical tourism and the differences between the two types remaining in the world. I would highly recommend this trip it was incredible.

Fabulous experience - so good to see elephants in a natural habitat!
Nana is such an informative guide. We loved hearing about the rescue elephants, the relationship they have with their caretakers, the plans for the elephant homes future. Its a Thailand must, Making the pumpkin seed 'food' to grow, seeing the elephants wandering in their jungle....they are clearly loved and taken care of. We need to stop any form of elephant riding/logging etc. The 8 girls and 1 boy are so gorgeous and we need to protect this species. Please visit & help! 🐘💕

Elephant wonders - an exceptional experience!
This was a wonderful experience and so well done. The elephant sanctuary is spotless and so well run, which means the elephants are very well looked after. The opportunity to get up close and feed the elephants, walk where they walk and visit the museum was all wonderful. I could not fault the experience and excellent value. I love these beautiful gentle animals.

Why this scores 83
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Samui: Elephant Jungle experience & The First Elephant Museum: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Koh Samui.
How much does Samui: Elephant Jungle experience & The First Elephant Museum cost?
+
Prices start at $56 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Koh Samui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Samui: Elephant Jungle experience & The First Elephant Museum take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Koh Samui is not rushed.
Is Samui: Elephant Jungle experience & The First Elephant Museum worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 83 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Koh Samui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Samui: Elephant Jungle experience & The First Elephant Museum?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Samui: Elephant Jungle experience & The First Elephant Museum suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Samui: Elephant Jungle experience & The First Elephant Museum?
+
Around 29 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Koh Samui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Koh Samui and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Samui: Elephant Jungle experience & The First Elephant Museum start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Koh Samui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Koh Samui?
+
On Outty we rank every Koh Samui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angthong National Marine Park VIP Small Group Tour, Cooking Class in Koh Samui with Micro Organic Garden, Half Day Elephant Home Sanctuary in Samui. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Koh Samui?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Koh Samui?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
