Best trek experience + value!

We did the Salkantay 5D4N trek and it was absolutely amazing! Having Jose, our guide, was so nice. He taught us about the land, shared stories on the trail, and was with us every step of the way with anything that we needed. Raphael, our chef, was amazing!! Having cooked meals every day, especially after a hike was worth everything.

Outstanding tour services and guides

Our family of eighteen started organizing a 7 day tour with BioAndean Excursions at the beginning of this year, and from the very beginning we received excellent, attentive service from Rider and staff. Over the few months before our trip, we did several zoom calls to go over details and questions, and every time we were provided with all information needed. Upon arrival in Cusco we were met by our tour guides Brayan and Edison, and other staff, to welcome us and go over our schedule for the next week. We enjoyed this trip of a lifetime to Sacred Valley, Machupicchu, Soraypampa domes, Lake Humantay, and Rainbow mountain. We didn't have to go through the hassle of trying to get tickets on our own for the bus and entrance to Machupicchu, coordinating horse rides in Rainbow mountain or figuring out transportation for our large group between sites. Our tour guides also provided incredible skills in videos and photography, so we all ended up with great "instagram worthy"photos and unique, short videos. The traditional meals provided by a personal chef and kitchen staff at the domes were delicious - we even got a cooking lesson to make cebiche, and also a pisco sout making class. The dome accommodations were unique, spacious and comfortable. The alpaca therapy on the second day there was the highlight for me. The restaurant we stopped at for breakfast and lunch on our way to and from Rainbow mountain had the best buffet with so many options of tasty, local dishes. Rainbow mountain was quite the experience, and thankful to our guides for their advice to a bunch of Puerto Ricans on how to survive the 5,000m + hike. Their care and attention throughout our hike was outstanding, we all felt safe especially knowing that our tour guides were trained and carried an additional oxygen tank in case anyone needed it. Throughout our tour days they were flexible in acomodating schedule changes due to some feeling altitude sickness and elderly parents that couldn't participate in every activity. They provided help in getting a doctor to check on my mom when she started showing signs of altitude sickness; also, adding an additional staff member, Karla, to help provide a local city tour for my parents when they couldn't go with us to Rainbow mountain. Personally, Ive traveled so many countries on my own, or with my husband (Peru is number 65). I've always preferred to do everything myself so that I can choose where I stay, what places to visit and flexibility to make any changes to plans. I'd always been weary of tour companies as normally you're set in to particular schedules, accommodations and a gamble on what kind of tour guide you'll get. But, I can honestly say that BioAndean Expeditions surpassed each one of our expectations. Always willing to work with us and never making us feel like we were taking too much of their time, great choices in our accommodations, and amazing, experienced and knowledgeable tour guides that were always asking our opinions, then making any adjustments needed. Brayan, Edison and Karla even took turns helping with my mom around in her wheel chair; and on our last day in Cusco (their day off) they took us to a family restaurant so that those brave enough in the group to eat cuy, could do so in a more traditional way. By the end of our trip, we felt like family and it was hard to say goodbye. It was the perfect way for our family to celebrate Thanksgiving week. Highly recommend this tour company if you're looking for outstanding, personal service, knowledgeable tour guides, and competitive excursion prices.

What an experience

Our trip was amazing. So much to see and learn about the country and its culture! Our guide Fidel did a great Job explaining everything to us, showed us everything there is to see and helped us understand the spiritual side of the trip. The domes are really nice and cozy!

Amazing Trek with an amazing guide

The trip was amazing. Especially thanks to our amazing guide Fidel, who showed us many interesting things and told us may facts about the Peruvian culture and nature. Also his team was great. Especially the food was everyday superb and different (and we got more than enough to fill our hungry bellies). Every day was filled with different and interesting activities - some of them we would not have experienced without Fidel. Second day was quite challenging but the view and the nature made more than up for it. We would totally recommend it.
