    Great Ride Through Amazing Scenery

My family of 5 (kids 17, 15, 12) had a really great time on this trail ride. It was better than any previous trail ride that I have been on, and I have been on quite a few. The scenery was GORGEOUS and the guides were so much fun. They chatted with us, entertained us with songs and rodeo stories, and even sang happy birthday to my husband and son. You don’t need any prior horse experience to do this ride, but it also isn’t boring if you do. If you are considering which ride to take, I can’t say enough about how gorgeous the canyon was that they took us through. I highly recommend this if you are in Bryce and considering a horseback adventure.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We're thrilled to hear that your family enjoyed the Half Day Ride and that it stood out among the many trail rides you've experienced. The scenery surrounding Bryce Canyon is truly special, and we're delighted that you were able to take in the beauty of the canyon from horseback. It's especially wonderful to hear that our guides helped make the ride memorable with their stories, songs, and personal touches. We'll be sure to share your kind words with the team—they'll be excited to know they helped create such a fun experience for your family. Thank you for recommending Ruby's Horseback Adventures. We hope to welcome you back for another ride the next time you're in Bryce Canyon!

Cared for horses - Nice way to see the surrounding - Great staff!

We had a great experience. Lauren was our guide, and she was personable and knowledgeable about the trees and landscape. She made the trip fun and interesting for us!!!! The staff was excellent! Great outfit, would highly recommend. Horses were cared for, and all were very well behaved. It was a pleasure not fighting to keep our horses from eating the grass, as we have experienced in most horseback riding experiences.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Ruby's Horseback Adventures! We're thrilled to hear that you had such an enjoyable ride and that Lauren helped make your trip both fun and informative. We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to her and the rest of our team. It's especially rewarding to hear that you appreciated the care given to our horses. The health, training, and well-being of our horses are extremely important to us, and we're glad it showed throughout your experience. We take pride in providing well-mannered horses and a relaxed riding experience that allows guests to focus on the beautiful scenery rather than managing their mounts. Thank you for your recommendation and for recognizing the efforts of our staff. We hope to welcome you back to Bryce Canyon for another ride and adventure in the future!

    DO THIS!

Amazing tour going through the Eye of the Needle, from the ridge down into the valley, along all the hoodoos and past the many weary hikers--SO much better to be on horseback! 3,000 vertical feet and dry heat. Lovely experience and wonderful guide.

Response from the operator: Hi Familyzookeeper, Thank you so much for the amazing review! We love your “DO THIS!” recommendation—it says it all! We’re thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed the ride, especially the journey through the Eye of the Needle and down into the valley. It really is a unique way to experience the hoodoos, and we couldn’t agree more that horseback offers a special perspective. We’re also glad to hear your guide helped make the experience even more memorable—we’ll be sure to share your kind words with the team. Thank you again for riding with us. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure in the future! Best regards, Andrea Greger

    Do this ride!!!

We enjoyed a gorgeous view from the ease of horseback. Went 300’ vertical and 8 miles along the Peekaboo trail and others. Stunning to ride through the small arch to “thread the needle”. Excellent guide, humorous and personable. He even recited his own cowboy poetry. After seeing the exhausted hikers along the trail, we were so happy we were on horseback. What a stunning unforgettable trip!! Highly recommended.

We’re especially pleased to hear your kind words about your guide. Ruby's Horseback Adventures Utah Half Day Ride: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bryce Canyon National Park.

How much does Ruby's Horseback Adventures Utah Half Day Ride cost?

    +

Prices start at $130 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bryce Canyon National Park usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ruby's Horseback Adventures Utah Half Day Ride take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bryce Canyon National Park is not rushed.

Is Ruby's Horseback Adventures Utah Half Day Ride worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 76 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bryce Canyon National Park, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ruby's Horseback Adventures Utah Half Day Ride?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ruby's Horseback Adventures Utah Half Day Ride suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Ruby's Horseback Adventures Utah Half Day Ride?

    +

Around 27 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bryce Canyon National Park can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bryce Canyon National Park and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ruby's Horseback Adventures Utah Half Day Ride start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bryce Canyon National Park within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bryce Canyon National Park?

    +

Bryce Canyon National Park draws visitors for its landscapes, wildlife and guided outdoor experiences. Outty tracks every bookable tour here, scores it with the Outty Ranking, and shows what is worth your time, from full-day guided trips to short scenic outings. On Outty we rank every Bryce Canyon National Park experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Scenic Tour of Bryce Canyon, Peekaboo, Spooky and Dry Fork Slot Canyon Tour, Bryce Canyon Hiking Challenge. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bryce Canyon National Park?

    +

Late spring through early fall for full access and the widest tour availability, with quieter trails in the shoulder weeks. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bryce Canyon National Park?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
