Full day Ruby's Ride
We did the 6 hour tour through Red Canyon and Loosee Canyon with B who was fantastic and took us to Butch Cassidy's hideout. Horses fantastic. Scenery unbelievable. Edan and Kevin Wilson Queensland Australia
Response from the operator: Dear Edan and Kevin, Thank you so much for sharing your experience with our Full Day Ruby’s Ride! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed exploring Red Canyon and Losee Canyon, and that visiting Butch Cassidy’s hideout was such a highlight. B will be thrilled to know that her guiding made your adventure even more memorable. It’s wonderful to know you connected with your horses and took in the incredible scenery—this area is truly special, and we love helping our guests experience it. We hope to welcome you back on another ride the next time your travels bring you to Bryce Canyon! Warm regards, Andrea Greger Manager Ruby’s Horseback Adventures

Great but posting is misleading.
Kevin was great, took tons of pictures for us and air dropped them to us at the end of the ride. The horses were awesome and very friendly. The views were fantastic and there were parts that were scary narrow and steep both up and down. Would do again, but in a shorter ride b/c we are all sore. 1 stop about halfway though the ride. However, this posting is misleading, this is a 3rd party booking so i doesnt have all the info. This is NOT beginner friendly, NOT appropriate for all ages (OG posting says 10+). There is no giving up in the middle of the ride, you have to complete the whole ride as rescue services are by these horses only! No backpacks or hydration/camelback packs, water bottles only. You will 1000% need sunscreen, long sleeves, and a hat. Arrive 30mins early to do all your stuff and get sorted. Would recomend looking at the posting from the actual place. Its called "Thunder Mountain Ride".

Ruby’s Thunder Mountain Trail Ride
The ride up and around Thunder Mountain was AMAZING! The horses were great! Views spectacular! I was disappointed with our guide! We asked many questions and he didn’t know the answers to most of them! He spent a good amount of time on his phone, and though he led us through, he did not seem interested in interacting with us! Also, the ride was advertised as FOUR hours, and total time, including drive to and from was 3 1/2! Suitable for anyone except those afraid of heights!
Response from the operator: Dear D8403RAeileenm Thank you for sharing your experience on the Thunder Mountain Trail Ride. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the horses, the spectacular views, and the beauty of the trail itself. At the same time, we’re truly sorry to hear that your guide did not provide the level of interaction and engagement we expect from our team. Your feedback is very valuable, and we will be addressing this directly with our staff to ensure future rides are both informative and enjoyable. Regarding the ride length, our tours are advertised based on the time in the saddle, and the transportation portion sometimes shortens the total experience slightly. We’ll review our descriptions to make sure this is clearer moving forward. We hope you’ll consider riding with us again so we can provide the fully memorable adventure we strive for every time. Warm regards, Andrea Greger Manager Ruby’s Horseback Adventures

Best ride ever!
We had a great ride with Skylar, our trail guide. The predicted rain held off and it was overcast but the views were still spectacular. The trail was nice and quiet. An exciting trip for sure!

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Ruby's Horseback Adventures Utah Thunder Mt. 4 Hour Ride: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bryce Canyon National Park.
How much does Ruby's Horseback Adventures Utah Thunder Mt. 4 Hour Ride cost?
+
Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bryce Canyon National Park usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Ruby's Horseback Adventures Utah Thunder Mt. 4 Hour Ride take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bryce Canyon National Park is not rushed.
Is Ruby's Horseback Adventures Utah Thunder Mt. 4 Hour Ride worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bryce Canyon National Park, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Ruby's Horseback Adventures Utah Thunder Mt. 4 Hour Ride?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Ruby's Horseback Adventures Utah Thunder Mt. 4 Hour Ride suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Ruby's Horseback Adventures Utah Thunder Mt. 4 Hour Ride?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bryce Canyon National Park can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bryce Canyon National Park and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Ruby's Horseback Adventures Utah Thunder Mt. 4 Hour Ride start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bryce Canyon National Park within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bryce Canyon National Park?
+
Bryce Canyon National Park draws visitors for its landscapes, wildlife and guided outdoor experiences. Outty tracks every bookable tour here, scores it with the Outty Ranking, and shows what is worth your time, from full-day guided trips to short scenic outings. On Outty we rank every Bryce Canyon National Park experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Scenic Tour of Bryce Canyon, Peekaboo, Spooky and Dry Fork Slot Canyon Tour, Bryce Canyon Hiking Challenge. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bryce Canyon National Park?
+
Late spring through early fall for full access and the widest tour availability, with quieter trails in the shoulder weeks. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bryce Canyon National Park?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
