    Incredible scenery, just go!

After a fantastic Aurora hunt with this company, we saw a Facebook post about this national park and we just had to go. On Thursday 20th March, the lovely Issac took us. We were the only guests which was great for us. Issac was knowledgeable and so kind. I joked if we were stuck anywhere or attacked by a bear, Issac is the man you want to be with! He took photos and brought his own personal drone with him. Amazing piece of kit. I hope to receive the footage one day when he gets time. The photos were beautiful. We had such good fun with him foung snow angels. He looked after us at lunch time, cooked and fed us, he carried a choice of 3 different drinks! We were lucky to spot a wild reindeer on the way back too. Thank you Arctic GM and Issac for a memorable trip to a beautiful place.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. We are delighted to hear that your full-day wilderness adventure to Riisitunturi National Park was such a rewarding and memorable experience. Isaac will be pleased to know that his dedication, local knowledge, and personal touches—such as drone footage and attentive care throughout the day—contributed meaningfully to your enjoyment. It's wonderful that you had the chance to immerse yourselves in the tranquility of nature, away from the crowds, and even encounter a wild reindeer along the way. At Arctic GM, we take great pride in creating personalized, small-group journeys that highlight the beauty and authenticity of Lapland. Our entire team is committed to ensuring that every guest feels well cared for, and your kind words are a true reflection of that mission. The snowy trees of Riistunturi

We took the Arctic GM tour to Riistunturi National Park on March 17th - we can’t recommend this tour, or this company, enough. Our guide, Robin, picked us up at our accommodation on time, and was very attentive throughout the tour. The tour itself was magnificent - it was like nothing we had ever experienced - the snow on the trees was magical. The hike itself was not difficult, but the views were amazing. We had a nice barbecue lunch on the trail in a nice shelter, and then finished our hike with some delicious blueberry pie at the trailhead. We can’t recommend this tour enough!

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you had such a magical experience exploring Riisitunturi National Park with us. The snow-covered trees truly create a fairytale-like atmosphere, and we’re glad you enjoyed both the breathtaking scenery and the warm hospitality of our guide, Robin. It’s great to know that the hike was enjoyable and that the barbecue and blueberry pie added to your adventure. Your kind recommendation means the world to us! Rovaniemi: Riisitunturi ‘Tykky’ Trees Wilderness Hike & BBQ: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rovaniemi.

How much does Rovaniemi: Riisitunturi ‘Tykky’ Trees Wilderness Hike & BBQ cost?

    +

Prices start at $219 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rovaniemi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Rovaniemi: Riisitunturi ‘Tykky’ Trees Wilderness Hike & BBQ take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rovaniemi is not rushed.

Is Rovaniemi: Riisitunturi ‘Tykky’ Trees Wilderness Hike & BBQ worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rovaniemi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Rovaniemi: Riisitunturi ‘Tykky’ Trees Wilderness Hike & BBQ?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Rovaniemi: Riisitunturi ‘Tykky’ Trees Wilderness Hike & BBQ suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Rovaniemi: Riisitunturi ‘Tykky’ Trees Wilderness Hike & BBQ?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rovaniemi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rovaniemi and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Rovaniemi: Riisitunturi ‘Tykky’ Trees Wilderness Hike & BBQ start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rovaniemi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rovaniemi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Rovaniemi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights Rovaniemi: Guaranteed Viewing & Unlimited Mileage, Rovaniemi: Korouoma Canyon & Frozen Waterfalls Tour with BBQ, Rovaniemi:%100 Guaranteed Northern Lights Hunt&Free Photos. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rovaniemi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rovaniemi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
