    About this experience

While AIM OF THE TRIP: to discover the geology, the birds and the flora of “El Tajo de Ronda Natural Monument”. Starting point: Puerta de Almocábar. We face one of the best preserved landscapes in all of Andalusia We will cross the three bridges over the Río Guadalevín and pass all the important historical monuments of the city of Ronda, making a brief foray into the historic center. We will enjoy the beautiful landscapes and explore the surrounding countryside at length. Probably the most pleasant and varied hike in southern Spain Our hike – a variant developed by me, the most interesting and curiously very uncrowded – takes the shape of an “8” and gives us plenty of time to adapt the pace and activity. End point: Alameda del Tajo.

The birds of the cliffs, notably the red-billed choughs, are the delight of observers. We will descend on a beautiful path which winds through a hill covered with almond trees and goes down to the river which has carved out the Tajo canyon.

    Successful orchid trip

Florent is an excellent guide. I hired him to help me look for species of orchid I had not seen before. He knew exactly where to go and we were able to find many of the orchids that I wanted to see. He also advised were to find my other species of interest. A very productive and enjoyable day out. Would strongly recommend.

A tour to enjoy nature beyond the obvious

It was a beautiful experience, enjoying nature, its beauty and calm, but above all what the guide, Florent, told us about plants, birds, bugs and the ecosystem in general. A highly recommended luxury!

Inspiring nature watching with Florent in Andalusia

I spent a most enjoyable and rewarding few days with Florent looking at dragonflies, birds and plants among the fabulous scenery. Florent has very broad knowledge of nature in the region. It was inspiring to see the important work he is doing to help protect rare species and vulnerable habitats through education, awareness raising and recording. Well worth a visit!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words. We'll keep in touch. In haste.

Ornithological discovery stay and quality nature

We spent 8 days with Florent who managed to introduce us every day to new species of birds and sometimes even rare species, such as the bald ibis... Our encounter with the Iberian lynx in Doñana National Park remains memorable. Many thanks to our guide Florent Prunier!

Ronda Nature and Scenic Private Hiking Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Malaga.

How much does Ronda Nature and Scenic Private Hiking Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $249 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Malaga usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ronda Nature and Scenic Private Hiking Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Malaga is not rushed.

Is Ronda Nature and Scenic Private Hiking Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Malaga, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ronda Nature and Scenic Private Hiking Tour?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Ronda Nature and Scenic Private Hiking Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Ronda Nature and Scenic Private Hiking Tour?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Malaga can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Malaga and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ronda Nature and Scenic Private Hiking Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Malaga within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Malaga?

    +

On Outty we rank every Malaga experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Malaga City Tour 2 Hours Monumental Segway Tour, Taste of Malaga Tour : Tapas, History and Local Customs, Go local for a day!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Malaga?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Malaga?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
