Hanging Bridges Tour - fun and informative.
I love crossing bridges. Each place I visit I cross a bridge. This tour had 7 hanging bridges and a great tour guide. Willie. We called him Chilly Willie. He was very calm and friendly and knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the region. He made the tour a fun experience. I recommend the tour. We did not do the zip lining, but from what I could see, the views are amazing. Thumbs up!.
Response from the operator: Thanks for the nice review and rating on the Eco-walk and suspension bridges.

An experience that was far from perfect
I found it hard to appreciate the jungle on the 'eco-walk' due to the constant whirring and screeching from the zip lines overhead. The suspension bridges and zip lines share a site, and it's a very busy one, with tourists being bussed in and out constantly. If you're looking to commune with nature, I'd say this excursion probably isn't for you. The pace was very slow for someone of a good level of fitness, and I felt rather like cattle being herded through the site. The time spent at the beach would have been just right, but South Shore caused me considerable stress. My driver said he'd meet us between 1.30 and 2 by the pool at the hotel. I got there at 1.35 only to discover through a different driver that my driver had already left with the rest of my group. After I asked for help from the hotel receptionists, South Shore eventually sent someone to pick me up, but communication was not good, and I felt abandoned. I got back to the ship much later than I should have - and pretty close to the departure time, having experienced no small degree of distress. Unfortunately this will be my main memory from this excursion, and I would not use South Shore again. The welcome drink at the beach advertised on Trip Advisor was not provided.
Response from the operator: Anthony, We are sorry you felt this way. But you need take in consideration you were not on a "PRIVATE" tour and with a group. One of the guests in your own party could not find you when it was time to leave. The group and driver went looking all over the beach for you and you still didn't show back up to the meeting point for departure back to cruise terminal. Our policy is to wait at least 20 minutes after the time before leaving out to ship. We then sent one of our personal vehicles to pick you up and drop you off because you said you had no money left etc. We are in the business of zip-lining and eco-walk tours, and yes, it is a popular tourist attraction during Spring Break time. We are sorry we did not fit your description of an eco-walk. We apologize for any inconvenience caused on the eco-walk portion of the excursion, but on the beach break portion you have to take responsibility for your own actions and not just go out there bashing excursions companies due to your wrong decisions. Thank you.

Perfect Shore Excursion with kids!
Great time! Transport from port included. 1 hour in rainforest walking bridges. Need to be steady on your feet. Stairs and slippery. But great for our kids 6 & 8 who weren’t into ziplining just yet. Then transported us to Paradise Beach Resort where we received a day pass. Beachfront restaurant, chairs, pool, showers etc included. Locals selling on the beach are fairly aggressive but kind if you just say no thanks. I did take advantage of a cheap massage on the beach. Got a few souvenirs. Transport picked us up in plenty of time to get back for gangway up. Would love to return to zipline! Overall a great time and worth the money to have everything organized and transportation was seem less.
Response from the operator: We are happy you enjoyed the Eco-walk and Suspension Bridges Tour as well as zip-lining. You came during rainy season, so it gets a little slippery during this time. We are happy you enjoyed Roatan, the beach and most of all the experience at South Shore Zip-line Adventures.

Adrenaline Fix!
This was BANANAS! What a way to get an adrenaline rush! This was definitely the highlight of my trip! The staff was super professional and attentive. SAFETY FIRST! Bilingual people, made sure they communicated effectively as I was getting anxiously scared of heights. Needless to say, I loved it! I definitely recommend it, it is a MUST do activity if you ever make it to this paradise they call ROATAN 😍
Response from the operator: Jesse, Thank you for the wonderful review. We really appreciate the kind words. Our staff works tirelessly every day to make sure all guests have a wonderful experience. Thank you for choosing South Shore Zip-line on Roatan Island.

Could have been a 5 but...
Our excursion started with being driven by our diver Victor (I think was his name) in an old minivan along with another family to the suspension bridges/zipline tour. We did the bridges while they did the zipline. The tour was ok. The bridges were not as high as I thought and hoped. The guide seemed in a rush and cold but warmed up once we started talking to her and asking questions. Once the tour was done, we needed to wait for the other family. We were taken back to the starting point where the driver drove us to the beach part of the tour. Before walking to the beach the driver asked us how long we wanted to be there and he would pick us up. We decided on 2 hours as we wanted time to get to the port on time. The beach was beautiful, definitely a 5 star. We spent time there and at the pool. Ordered some drinks which I was surprised that I had to pay for as the tour was supposed to include welcome drinks which I never received. I asked the waiter and was told I needed to pay and i did. We were waiting with the other family for the driver who never showed up. We called the tour company office and the said the would look into it and nothing happened. We saw his minivan but no sign of him. We called again and was told he is on his way but never saw him. Finally after waiting for an hour another driver for the same company told us he can drive us. He was not sent for us but said he is able to take us but needed to make one stop first. We got back just in time. I wanted to walk around the port a bit but no time for that. To sum it up, the excursion was good, beautiful beach, the service from the driver and tour company was horrible. Also, not sure what happened to my welcome drink? I would suggest that Viator use a different tour company for this excursion.
