    Sloth, Monkey, and Beach experience

Fantastic experience. So much fun taking photos with the animals and playing in the beach. Water was very clear. Our personal guide, Jonathan, was absolutely amazing. After telling him I was a foodie, he went out of his way to bring me a special traditional dish called “Baleada” with egg, beans, chicken, cheese & avocado. It was AMAZING. If you ever find yourself in Roatan, I highly recommend you book a private tour either Jonathan! Thanks for the awesome family experience! -The Kasallis Family

    3 Beach + Sloth Visit w/ Cynthia

Booked 3 stop snorkeling with Explore Roatan. Cynthia was our personal guide and she was absolutely amazing. Best service, great personal attention, friendly - top tier guide. Highly recommend. A few thoughts.... Adding the sloth experience is worth it. Doesn't eat into the day at all. Cost is decent for a quick tour. Got a personal group walk through. Good experience overall. Getting to the guide out of the port is awful, this is on the port, all tour guides are fighting to find groups. Know who you're looking for and the logo of the company in advance. Once we were with Cynthia, easy breezy. Paying for the upgrading personal transportation is 100% worth it. Would never do it any other way. Alfredo on the pontoon snorkel boat was incredible. This guy knows what he's doing. Had ceviche and fruit as a snack which was nice. Felt very safe and looked after with a child and senior on board. And this man can find the sea life! Highly recommend. Don't forget to sunscreen the back of your legs.

    Great service

I did the catamaran tour that left in the afternoon and concluded at sunset. It was a lovely experience. We stopped for snorkeling in the West End area and sailed to Anthony’s key. The communication before and after booking, the tour was excellent. They answered all my questions and delivered on every promise. My driver was also exceptional. I was hungry after my tour so he made sure I ate and got back to my hotel safe which wasn’t his responsibility, but it was greatly appreciated.

10/10 Day in Roatan—Cynthia Is the Real Deal

We had the absolute BEST experience with Cynthia from Explore Roatan—honestly, she’s a 10-star guide if that were an option! From the minute we met her, it felt like we were being shown around by a friend. She has the best attitude, so much personality, and you can tell how proud she is to be from Roatan—as she should be, it’s absolutely beautiful. She timed our entire day perfectly. We were just ahead of the crowds at every stop, which made everything feel relaxed instead of chaotic (huge win if you’ve ever done cruise excursions before 😅). The wildlife experience was so fun—the sloths (my spirit animal, obviously), monkeys, and macaws were incredible. One of the macaws even used my sister’s head as a scratching post… which we will never let her forget. The whole place was very clean and it was clear the animals are well cared for. Then—chocolate and rum tasting. Yes please. No notes. After that, Cynthia set us up with Dorian for snorkeling and sightseeing, and he was just as great. Super knowledgeable, clearly loves where he’s from, and made the whole experience feel easy and personal. There were only five of us on the boat, which was perfect—not packed in like we were honestly expecting. We chose to book with a local guide instead of going through the cruise line, and I cannot say this enough—this is the way to go. More personal, better experience, zero regrets. I would recommend Cynthia and this entire experience again and again. Absolutely worth it!

How much does Roatan Pontoon Snorkeling and West Bay Beach cost?

    +

Is Roatan Pontoon Snorkeling and West Bay Beach worth it?

    +

That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Roatan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

How many days do you need in Roatan?
