    Wonderful day

The whole experience was fantastic! Our driver got us through the traffic to get us to the boat dock where we boarded a super clean wonderful boat. We met the friendly crew, got the gear for those that didn’t have snorkel gear then we were off! Beautiful stops and very helpful crew made the day perfect!!

Three stop snorkel the Roatan Five Star- Ask for Neal!

We booked the 3 stop snorkel with Roatan Five Star and added a visit to see sloths on to the excursion. We were in Roatan on a cruise and none of the ship excursions were interesting to us so we decided to book our own. Pre-cruise the booking process and communication was quick and easy. They sent detailed information about where to meet, their cancellation policy and what to bring. On the day of our excursion we exited the cruise port and easily found the representative who introduced us to our driver, Neal. The transport was private so it was just us and our friends (4 of us total) in the car, which was clean and new. Neal was fantastic and if we were to go again, we would request him. He was friendly, informative and answered all our questions. He let us know that we would be visiting the sloths first, which we were happy about because it meant we got to do it before snorkeling. The visit was great. Neal waited until we were done and we headed to the boat. The guides on the boat were great and very informative. The ship wreck was impressive for the number of fish as was the reef and starfish stop. The boat was not overloaded with people and the group was very manageable getting on and off so we didn’t feel rushed at all. Again, Neal was waiting when we were done and we headed back to the ship with a stop for some shopping. Neal again, pointed out sites, told us about Roatan life and answered all our questions. Other friends on the cruise took a different tour with Five Stars and they reported a similarly great experience with the company. We were back to the ship in plenty of time which is always a little bit of a concern when booking privately but they were so punctual and communication was so good, we wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Great experience! Neal is the best!

    Best snorkeling trip ever

I love snorkeling and my wife does it with me, even though she is not a confident swimmer and does not being in deep ocean water. Well our guide Louis actually got in the water with us and made my wife feel "totally comfortable and safe" the entire time which allowed us to experience one of the best snorkeling excursions of our lives. Our driver Eric was waiting for us as soon as we exited the dock. He was polite and knowledgeable showing us sights as we traveled with one other couple about 20 minutes to our boat. Our guide was Louis and his captain was John Carlos. Louis was just a genuinely nice guy who clearly loved what he was doing. The second stop was the best for me featuring "the drop," which I don't think my wife would have done with any other guide. It was a true natural aquarium with loads of beautiful fish and coral reef. I highly recommend this tour and would go as far as advising Celebrity Cruises to make the a part of the excursions they sponsor.

Response from the operator: Greetings Chris, really appreciate your time for sharing your 3 stop snorkeling experience here in Roatan, Bay Islands of Honduras, The Roatan Five Stars team are so happy to read this review, we will continue with our commitment to preserve our environment and create unique experiences, you guys be ok and continue to have fun! Your friend, Louis Díaz

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Roatan.

How much does Roatan Private Catamaran Shipwreck, Blue Channel and Starfish with Transfer cost?

    +

Prices start at $79 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Roatan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Roatan Private Catamaran Shipwreck, Blue Channel and Starfish with Transfer take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Roatan is not rushed.

Is Roatan Private Catamaran Shipwreck, Blue Channel and Starfish with Transfer worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Roatan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Roatan Private Catamaran Shipwreck, Blue Channel and Starfish with Transfer?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Roatan Private Catamaran Shipwreck, Blue Channel and Starfish with Transfer suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book Roatan Private Catamaran Shipwreck, Blue Channel and Starfish with Transfer?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Roatan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Roatan and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Roatan Private Catamaran Shipwreck, Blue Channel and Starfish with Transfer start and how do I get there?

    +

What are the best things to do in Roatan?

    +

On Outty we rank every Roatan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hydrobike Harbor Tour, Reef Snorkel & Private Island Beach Break, Roatán Island Tour: Sloth & Monkey Park, Rum, and Chocolate, Roatan Wildlife Monkeys,Sloths, chocolate Rum tasting Island Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Roatan?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Roatan?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
