- Guests are requested not to bring more than one suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per person on transfers due to available luggage space on private cars.
- Transfers are only operated within the downtown Bangkok areas and restricted to main hotels only. Regions outside the central business district such as Khao San Road, Rattanakosin, Nonthaburi, Thonburi, Minburi, both International Airports, Ratchadapisek and upper Sukhumvit (Soi 55 and further) are excluded and supplementary charges apply.

- In the event of no-show or change of accommodation without prior consent and confirmation from us within 24 hours may result in the applicable cancellation charges as outlined in the terms and conditions.
- There is no electricity supply in the rooms and no power sockets. A charging area is available near the reception for phones and cameras. Guests are advised to bring a fully charged power bank.
- Rooms are lit by kerosene lanterns, which give a soft light. Rooms are naturally dark, including during the daytime. A torch is provided in each room and a personal headlamp is strongly recommended.
- There is no air conditioning and no fan in the rooms. Nights can be warm. All windows and doors can be opened, and a river breeze usually cools the raft.
- Beds are fitted with mosquito nets and insect repellent is recommended at dusk.

jungle raft camp worst ever experience
jungle raft camp worst ever experience - the only place where you only get electricity and wifi is around the reception area so we had to leave our precious phones , to charge , near a desk forget about making yourself a coffee in the morning , there is no light, and even during daytime , your "room" is dark the toilet sits on wobbly planks , these planks stink of urine, and the shower , if you can call it that, sits above the toilet, cold water of course the bed is hard and several sheets , even with a bedspread included results in a very bad night sleep, so the only thing you can do, is strip the bed, imagine 33 degrees and there is of course ,no airco and make sure you do not fall over the bedding when trying to find the toilet during the night every room gets a musquito spray can ,says is all... and lets talk about health and safety , , smoking is not allowed, but the outside area is forseen with many kerosine lamps, that stink and easy to burn the place down, straw roofs do not go together, with kerosine lamps , no phone in the room , you are damned in a medical emergency, there are 2 lifejackets in the room , it says, only use in an emergency , so there is a fire and your only chance is to jump in the river, which has in this season a very strong current ,in no time you could end up in bangkok breakfast and dinner are very poorly ,and please do not go to see the mon dance show , its just a clown show conclusion , avoid where possible , and if so go to sleep with the musquito spray and wear the lifejacket ... just in case
Response from the operator: We are sorry your stay went badly, though you are the first in a long time to come back unhappy from it. River Kwai is a floating camp with no electricity in the rooms. That is the point of it, it is written in the tour description at booking, and it is why people book it rather than a hotel on the road. Most guests spend the afternoon swimming off the rafts and eat on the deck at night. The evening performance is given by staff who live in the Mon village next to the resort. The same people guide the morning walk, cook, and serve in the restaurant, and guests often name them personally in their reviews. Pat in particular comes up again and again. They dance their own culture at the end of a working day, in front of guests they have looked after since the morning, and calling that a clown show is unfair to them. We will pass your comments to the resort management. Raising them during your stay and with our guide would have given the team a chance to respond. Asian Trails Thailand

The most incredible stay...
The most incredible stay at the jungle rafts! The location was secluded and perfect, the tour via death railway and hellfire pass was so eye opening and interesting. It showed a side of history which is misunderstood, so it was great to see what happened and where! The Mon village tour was my absolute favourite, the people were beautiful and so kind!

Excellent trip, would do it again.
Had to phone the tour operator to ensure I was picked up from my hotel as the options provided at booking are limited and do not include the major hotels, a phone call sorted it all out. The guides were excellent and had a good overall knowledge of the WWII history and were very open to discussions about other Signiant Australian memorial sites. Be prepared for limited internet and no electricity on the Jungle Rafts, it was a great night, but I was lucky my powerbank got me through. I found some of the non war history to be a little tedious and felt very much like filler. Overall, an excellent 2 days.

Great informative and peaceful tour
Honestly, I booked this tour to stay on the river rafts. But once we got to the museum, I found the history fascinating. My favorite historial site - Hell Fire pass. The Jungle River Raft Hotel was everything I hoped for - unique, unpretensous and calm. Loved the hammock on the back porch that was in deep shade and the way the raft gently rocked when boats went by. And a shout out to the Mon people that work at the hotel, especially Sam, my guide. I felt well cared for. A fabulous experience! Wish I could have stayed longer.

Stay on the river
Everything was well organised, and the guide even rang my hotel and told them to organise a breakfast box for me as early morning start. You are kept moving through the activities and always fed and watered and it was just very easy as everything was taken care of. The hotel was amazing, make sure you take your bathers so you can jump in to the river and ride the current. Also, no electricity in the room which is a nice change, but I would recommend taking a headlamp, as they give you a torch but the headlamp so much easier. The hotel staff, the Mon people are so warm and friendly and were great hosts. I actually enjoyed the train journey a lot more than I thought I was going to. I did one night and was happy with that, but seemed most people stayed for two. I think both would be fine, and don't hesitate if you just want to do one. I came back to Bangkok happy.
