One of the best tour guide!
Ali is one of the best tour guides we’ve had in Thailand! He was so energetic and enthusiastic. Even though it was extremely hot and we had to wait for the train, he kept cheering us on, helping us take photos, and showing us the best photo spots. He also bought Thai desserts and fruits for us to try, which was a lovely touch. He shared many interesting stories and historical facts, and you can tell he really knows the area. The only downside for me was the floating market. We went very early, so there wasn’t much boat traffic and we avoided the crowds. However, I found it a little boring as the market wasn’t very lively. Compared with Pattaya Floating Market, where boats cook food, sell drinks, and let you try different things, this market had only a few stalls open, with many being souvenir shops. This is just my personal preference. I’d rather experience a lively market atmosphere, even with more crowds. Overall, we had a great experience. A big thank you to Ali for making the tour fun with his energy and stories. Highly recommended guide!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re delighted to hear that Ali’s energy, enthusiasm, local knowledge, and thoughtful touches made your experience so enjoyable. We’re also glad he helped you make the most of the train experience despite the heat and wait. We understand your preference for a livelier floating market atmosphere, and appreciate you sharing this perspective. Your comments are valuable as we continue improving the experience. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to Ali. Thank you for recommending him!

Trip to Floating Market and Railway Market!
We booked this itinerary through Klook and had a wonderful time visiting Buffalo Cafe, Maeklong Railway Market, and Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. The tour was well organized from start to finish, and our guides, Nana and Bank, were knowledgeable, warm, and friendly throughout! As vegetarians, finding suitable food was a bit tricky, but one restaurant kindly customized a meal for us — much appreciated! The coconut ice cream is an absolute must-try, and a truly unique experience. Grateful to have included these gems in our Thailand trip!

Why this scores 95
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Day Trip to Bangkok Floating Market & Maeklong Railway: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.
How much does Day Trip to Bangkok Floating Market & Maeklong Railway cost?
+
Prices start at $29 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Day Trip to Bangkok Floating Market & Maeklong Railway take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.
Is Day Trip to Bangkok Floating Market & Maeklong Railway worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 95 out of 100, which we label "Peak Performance". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 1,679 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Day Trip to Bangkok Floating Market & Maeklong Railway?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Day Trip to Bangkok Floating Market & Maeklong Railway suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Day Trip to Bangkok Floating Market & Maeklong Railway?
+
Around 588 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Day Trip to Bangkok Floating Market & Maeklong Railway start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bangkok?
+
On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bangkok?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bangkok?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
