A MUST for all trips to Bogota!

Aleja is a truly wonderful guide. The day was so far beyond my expectations. I’ve been lucky enough to travel all over the world and this experience is definitely in my top 3 best tours. I can’t recommend enough. Simply perfect!

The best way to see the city, at your own pace.

As a family, booking the "rent a friend" tour was a good idea. We were guided by Aleja, and she adjusted the pace of the walking tour through Candelaria and Macarena to our needs (playgrounds, toilet breaks...) and we got to see the lesser trodden paths along with the backstories. The best way to get to know the city.

Walking tour tailored to what you like

We had such a great three-hour private tour with Zebra Fisgona. It was a really relaxed morning walking around central Bogotá, stopping to try different coffees, fruits and local snacks along the way. The best thing was that the tour was tailored to us, so we got to see and try the things we were actually interested in rather than just doing a standard tour. We finished with lunch at Providencia Market, which was really good and a great way to finish the morning. We really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend Zebra Fisgona.

Amazing Experience

We booked a 6-hour Rent a Local Friend tour in Bogotá with Juanita, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Juanita was friendly, knowledgeable, patient with all our questions, and made the entire experience feel relaxed and personal. She made us feel like we were spending the day with a friend rather than a tour guide. She shared her knowledge of Bogotá while also making sure the experience matched what we were interested in. We had such a wonderful day with her and would highly recommend Zebra Fisgona Tours to anyone looking for a local, personal experience in Bogotá!

Perfect introduction to Bogotá

My daughter and I had a great day with Aleja. The 6hrs Rent a Friend was a perfect introduction to Bogotá tailored for my 20 year old daughter. She is studying for a year in the city and you helped us get a sense of the city, places to go and where to eat or just hang out. It was just the introduction that I was hoping for, as well seeing the main sights and trying our hand at Tejo. The family intends to visit Colombia in the next year we will be in contact to ask for your help. Best wishes

Rent a local friend in Bogota: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bogotá.

How much does Rent a local friend in Bogota cost?

+

Prices start at $53 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bogotá usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Rent a local friend in Bogota take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bogotá is not rushed.

Is Rent a local friend in Bogota worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 140 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bogotá, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Rent a local friend in Bogota?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Rent a local friend in Bogota suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Rent a local friend in Bogota?

+

Around 49 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bogotá can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bogotá and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Rent a local friend in Bogota start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bogotá within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bogotá?

+

On Outty we rank every Bogotá experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private City Tour Bogota + Monserrate, Gold, Botero and Candelaria., Free Graffiti Walking Tour Every Day in Bogota, Viejo Bogota Food Tour with 12+ Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bogotá?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bogotá?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
