Sunset cruise at Easter time
We celebrated Easter sunset on a very enjoyable dinner cruise with Elza and crew. Elza did a great job facilitating the experience and ensuring all the guests were comfortable, aware of all the recreational opportunities, and well fed! This included the safety briefings at the outset, the welcome drinks, hors d'oeuvres, opportunity for swimming and fishing off the decks, seafood dinner buffet and dessert, and plenty of time to enjoy the fresh sea air and sunset. Pickup and transport from the hotel was seamless and smooth. On the boat, seat and table locations are in the sun or shade so pick your spot accordingly, and roam the decks at leisure.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review. We’re truly delighted that you chose to celebrate Easter with us and had such an enjoyable sunset dinner cruise. Elza and the crew will be very happy to hear your kind words. It’s great to know that her care, clear guidance, and attention to guest comfort helped make your experience smooth and relaxing from start to finish. Your helpful tips about seating and moving around the boat are much appreciated and will certainly benefit future guests. Thank you again for sharing your experience with us. We hope to welcome you back on board for another memorable journey in the future. Best Regards, Oh-Hoo Team

Money grabbers
It was a rainy day in Koh Samui today and is the last day of our holiday. We did not want to sit on a boat for three hours in the rain just to spend a couple of hours there, to then spend another 3 hours coming back to Koh Samui. We tried to explain this to the operator and asked for a refund (we showed proof that it’s our last day with a screenshot of our return flight to Bangkok as well) and the operator refused saying rain is no reason to cancel. Very disappointing. I understand this is how they make a living but we cannot help the weather and it’s disappointing that they could not understand where we were coming from. I know of other tour operators that offer a cancellation & refund/reschedule for poor weather conditions so my advice would be to book with them. The operator then continued to WhatsApp me throughout the day to try and show how “good” the tour was. The weather is still grey and rainy in the videos they sent me so I’m glad we decided to cancel. Attaching screenshots and videos of the conversation & weather conditions from the day.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we’re truly sorry to hear that your last day in Koh Samui didn’t go as expected. It’s unfortunate that the communication didn’t meet your expectations, and we appreciate you pointing this out. Our aim is always to provide excellent service, and your experience highlights areas where we can do better. We sincerely hope that despite this issue, you were able to enjoy the rest of your trip, and we appreciate your valuable input as we continue to improve. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts, and we will strive to do better moving forward. Best Regards, Oh-Hoo Team

Gorgeous Boat & Wonderful Experience!
One of the best boat trips we've ever done! The boat is very comfortable and the ride was smooth. The staff is exceptional, especially Ella! The food is the best we've had on a boat and better than we've had at most weddings. It was great to see the national parks, the views are fantastic. At the end of the tour we were allowed to jump off the boat, and that was so fun! They also had fresh water showers to rinse off after being in the salt water. We packed our snorkel gear, but the snorkeling is not that great on this tour - Ella suggested we take a Koh Tao tour for snorkeling and that was good advice. The cost of this trip is for a day on this beautiful ship, delicious food, and the opportunity to see the national park. The ride out to the park is about 2.5 hours, which is a little longer than some of the other speed boat tours due to the style of this ship.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review. We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your boat trip and found the vessel comfortable, and the ride smooth. Your kind words about the overall experience and the style of the trip mean a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable day in the future. Best Regards, Tawan Oh-Hoo Team

Why this scores 51
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Red Baron Chinese Sailboat Tour from Koh Samui: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Koh Samui.
How much does Red Baron Chinese Sailboat Tour from Koh Samui cost?
+
Prices start at $2468 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Koh Samui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Red Baron Chinese Sailboat Tour from Koh Samui take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Koh Samui is not rushed.
Is Red Baron Chinese Sailboat Tour from Koh Samui worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 37 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Koh Samui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Red Baron Chinese Sailboat Tour from Koh Samui?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Red Baron Chinese Sailboat Tour from Koh Samui suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Red Baron Chinese Sailboat Tour from Koh Samui?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Koh Samui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Koh Samui and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Red Baron Chinese Sailboat Tour from Koh Samui start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Koh Samui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Koh Samui?
+
On Outty we rank every Koh Samui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angthong National Marine Park VIP Small Group Tour, Cooking Class in Koh Samui with Micro Organic Garden, Half Day Elephant Home Sanctuary in Samui. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Koh Samui?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Koh Samui?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
