For this Trip you need to be physically fitness and mentally well prepare. Some days you need to walk 8 to 9 hours, which is more than average walking in a day. It could do just Camping organize trip last three years ago but there is basic Teahouse entire trip now a days. Mostly, you will stay in Lodge and have food same place (Dhal Bhat=main Nepali food, Fried rice, Bread, Boiled and fried eggs, Potato, Noodles, porridge, tea coffee tec.) But if you have added some days you may visit the Tsum Valley area also, this is a homestay trip (where you can have the food there at someone's house and provide accommodation). If you have time, I would like to recommend you Tsum Valley too; which is itself a restricted area and open since 2007. This trip is a combination of culture and religion, which is a unique trip among numbers trekking trails of Nepal.

Best trek ever!
I booked a guided Manaslu Circuit Trek as a solo traveler, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. The agent Karna was extremely kind, professional, and responsive throughout the planning process. They were very flexible and willing to tailor the itinerary perfectly to my preferences, making several adjustments before the trip started. The guide provided was outstanding — not only highly professional, but also incredibly knowledgeable about the trail, local culture, and trekking conditions. Along the way, he gave excellent recommendations that helped optimize the hikes and made the overall experience even more enjoyable. Everything was well organized from start to finish, and I always felt supported during the trek. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I would highly recommend Nepal Mother House to anyone considering the Manaslu Circuit Trek.
Response from the operator: Hello Marko, Namaste from Nepal, and big thanks for sharing your great experience of the Manaslu Circuit Trek with Serang Gompa. As a solo traveler exploring one of the most isolated and unique Himalayan trekking locations of Nepal, we are extremely humbled to learn that your adventure has exceeded your expectations. Thank you so much for trusting Nepal Mother House Treks and allowing us a chance to be part of your journey to the lovely Manaslu region. Thank you very much for your kind thoughts on the planning process. We always feel that each trekker is different, and designing a flexible personalized itinerary is one of the most crucial parts of providing a meaningful trekking experience in Nepal. We were happy to adapt the route to your interests and travel style so that you could completely enjoy the beauty, culture, and tranquil solitude of the Manaslu Circuit. We are extremely glad to read your great comments regarding your guide, Kisim Thapa Magar. He is a very devoted trekking guide with a profound understanding of the Himalayas, local Tibetan-influenced culture, mountain safety, and hidden trail adventures. We will be pleased to pass your praises on to him – your appreciation will make him very happy and driven. The Manaslu Circuit walk with an excursion to Serang Gompa is undoubtedly one of the most fulfilling trekking adventures in Nepal, with pristine mountain scenery, traditional villages, Buddhist monasteries,s and real Himalayan culture remote from busy hiking paths. We are glad that you could live these exceptional moments and make unforgettable memories throughout your solo hiking expedition. Thank you again for your recommendation and for taking the time to write such a meaningful review. People like you keep us motivated to provide honest, professional, and personalized trekking experiences in Nepal. We do hope to have you back again in the future for another Himalayan experience, maybe the Everest Base Camp Trek, the Annapurna Circuit Trek, Nar Phu Valley Trek, or even Upper Mustang. Until then, we wish you many more great journeys to be had. Kind regards, Karna Rana

Manaslu Circuit Trek and Side Trips March 2026
My partner and I booked the Manaslu Circuit trek with side trips for this March 2026. It was amazingly organised by Mother House Treks and Karna Rana. He was very responsive and answered all of our questions (even some of the stupid ones!). Our guide (Sabut) and porter (Suman) were amazing throughout the whole trip. Their breadth of knowledge and experience of the region was great to have and made the trip unforgettable for both of us. Sabut especially was very flexible with the itinerary during the trip with our sore bodies and with the weather being tricky for Larke Pass, we managed to shift a few things around and have half days of hiking here and there to accommodate. Suman was also great with carrying the majority of the weight of our packs and preparing the nightly fruits for dessert! Everyone with Motherhouse Treks made the trip an authentic immersion into the Tibetan culture of the Manaslu region. Couldn't have asked for a better and safer trip in Nepal.
Response from the operator: Hello Matthew Ferrier, Thanks a lot for your nice and useful review. Hey. It's great to hear that you both had a great time on your Manaslu Circuit Trek in March 2026 and on the other trips you took. We were very glad that you liked how we set things up and that we talked to you before your vacation. We often remark that no inquiry is too little because the most important thing for safe and fun travel in the Himalayas is to be honest and open with each other. We're happy we could help you from the start. Thanks a lot for saying wonderful things about Suman and Sabut. Sabut can change the plan and make things more fun when things go wrong, such when the weather is bad at Larke Pass or when people are too tired. This makes it easy to travel. If you are hiking in high places like Manaslu, you should be ready to change your plans. We're happy he was able to hold up a solid pace and have excellent days. Suman's energy, stamina, and attention to detail, such carrying your baggage and even making you fresh food after long hikes, make a big difference. We are quite satisfied with how hard and pleasant our employees are. You did an excellent job at explaining what life is really like in the Manaslu area. We're glad to hear that you really felt like you were on vacation. There are a lot of Tibetan-style people, monasteries, and civilizations that live in the mountains around here. Thanks again for letting Nepal Mother House Treks & Expedition manage your vacation. Your review could help people who want to find a trekking company in Nepal that is safe, flexible, and knows what they're doing. We wish to take you back to the Himalayas for another amazing holiday, maybe to Annapurna, Everest, or one of Nepal's less well-known and less visited places. On behalf of the Karna Rana and Nepal Mother House Treks Family, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

“Why Great Guides Matter Most When the Mountains Say ‘No’”
Highly recommended! Communication with Karna was excellent; he customized our Manaslu–Tsum Valley trek perfectly to our wishes, with plenty of acclimatization and rest days. A huge thank you to our guide Pratap—always patient, kind, and highly competent. He stepped in at the last minute after becoming a proud father just 15 days earlier, and still joined us for a 23-day trek. Calm, cheerful, and quietly efficient, Pratap handled everything smoothly. When I badly sprained my ankle on day one—and again during five days of nonstop typhoon rain—he found smart solutions. On top of that, extreme weather caused landslides and unexpectedly large amounts of snow at higher elevations. Pratap consistently came up with smart, safe solutions. Because we were a small group of four, I could set the pace, which made all the difference. Our porter Dipak was unforgettable: full of character, endlessly funny, and incredibly helpful. Shy at first—definitely not! He kept us laughing, sang beautifully while hiking, and brought great energy every day. A visit to the health post together even turned into a memorable moment. Despite being fit, we wisely skipped the Larke La pass due to my ankle and returned after the Tsum Valley. Pratap got home earlier to his family, and we left with amazing memories. Thank you, Karna, Pratap, and Dipak. If you’re trekking in Nepal, choose Nepal Motherhouse Treks & Expeditions—you won’t regret it! Martin & Anouk
Response from the operator: Dear Anouk and Martin, Thank you very much for writing such a nice and helpful review of your Manaslu–Tsum Valley Trek with Nepal Mother House Treks & Expedition. Your concept is great because it really reflects what it's like to trek in the Himalayas: being open to new ideas, working together, and trusting one other. It's good to hear that your trip preparation and communication went off without a hitch. When arranging a vacation to far-off places like Tsum Valley and Manaslu, it's very important to incorporate the right amount of acclimatization, rest days, and flexibility. We're happy that the personal touch made your event so much better. We really appreciate how much you love Pratap. He really shows how capable and motivated he is by going on a hard 23-day trek in bad weather just after becoming a father. A superb Himalayan guide can stay cool, happy, and focused on safety even when they have a bad ankle injury, it rains for days, landslides happen, and snow falls out of nowhere. We're happy he's with us. We also want to thank you for bringing up Dipak. Every day of the holiday, he was strong, polite, full of life, and humorous. A porter is more than just someone who carries things; they are part of the experience. We're glad that Dipak become a friend that your group will always remember. You made the right choice not to go to Larkya La Pass because of your health and the weather. Getting back to a pass in the Himalayas is only half the struggle; the other half is getting back safely with memories that will last a lifetime. We're glad we could assist you choose what's best for you. Thanks again for believing in me, understanding me, and saying nice things. Your reviews help other people who wish to hike in Nepal find a company that is safe, adaptable, and knows a lot about the area. We wish you all the best on behalf of Pratap, Dipak, and the rest of the Nepal Mother House family. We hope to see you again when the mountains call you back to the Himalayas. Best of luck! A very professional agency, highly flexible and honest
I've trekked for 24 days up and down the Tsum Valley and then around the Manaslu circuit with "Nepal Mother House Treks & Expedition" of Karna Rana and I'm extremely pleased with their services. I'd already done a number of treks in the Himalaya without a guide or a porter and definitely I did not wanted a fully organized package. I just needed the permits provided by and agnecy and also an authorized guide, since these are legally required for Tsum and Manaslu. All trekking agencies contacted by me, however, only offered fully organized packages with fixed and quite compressed itineraries. Karna Rana also initially offered me a full package, which is probably required by most clients. After this, he however immediately understood my desires, and provided exactly what I needed, for the correct and honest price, and without pushing for unrequired services. He also gave me very precise and useful information about the defects of my plans, and significantly contributed to a much better itinerary. He was also very useful and forthcoming when one of my scheduled trekking partners had a sanitary problem before actually starting the trek. The porter-guide provided the agency, Kishor Magar, proved to be very gentle and protective, full of nice humor, highly flexible, surprisingly strong when necessary, and very knowledgeable about the path, the many villages, and the various side tracks I was interested to. I really enjoyed the company of Kishor and I feel that I've been very lucky to have him as my partner in this trek. I highly recommend "Nepal Mother House Treks & Expedition" as an agency, and Kishor Magar as a guide, porter, and trekking partner.
Response from the operator: Dear Raffaele, Namaste, I am deeply grateful for your kind, thorough, and thoughtful evaluation of your 24-day Manaslu and Tsum Valley trip with Nepal Mother House Treks. Your words really moved us the rest of our team. Your trip was long, hard, and exceptional, and knowing that we helped you see the Himalayas the way you chose to meant more to us than you can imagine. You were clear from the start about how you wanted to trek: alone, with experience, and only getting the basic services necessary by law for Tsum and Manaslu, which are permits and a qualified guide. I get how annoyed you were looking for a travel agency since most offer fixed-package itineraries. I'm so delighted we were able to listen closely, understand what you needed, and make a flexible, personalized plan that met your needs without adding any more expenditures or stress. Your plan was already well thought out, and it was a pleasure to assist you make it even better by recommending better acclimatization days, making the route flow better, and making sure you could see all the side valleys and spiritual locations that make Tsum and Manaslu so special. When you trek in isolated areas like this, you need to prepare ahead and be ready to change plans. I'm also grateful that you heeded our advice when your spouse had an unanticipated health problem. We all appreciate how much you like Kishor Magar. Kishor is a remarkable mix of power, humility, humor, and a lot of information about the mountains. We were so happy to hear that you liked spending time with him, that he was helpful, and that he cared about you on the less-known paths. I will tell him what you said. He'll be happy to know he made your time in the Himalayas better, safer, and more fun. Your suggestion is vital, Raffaele, especially since you are a very experienced trekker who has traveled the Himalayas on your own several times. We appreciate that you see our honesty, flexibility, and dedication to real service. This is exactly what Nepal Mother House Treks was built on. I want to say thank you on behalf of myself, Kishor, and everyone else at Nepal Mother House. We are grateful to have been a part of your experience, and we will always be available for you if you choose to come back to Nepal for another significant trek, whether it's in a peaceful valley, over a high pass, or in a remote section of the Himalayas. Best Greetings from Kathmandu, Karna Rana

Amazing experience short manaslu circuit
STUNNING experience!, the views and energy of the mountains were spectacular. Our guide (Karma) and porter (Sangam) made our trip perfect, very professional, with a lot of experienced in high altitude and this type if trekking and super friendly. Definitely we will come back!
Response from the operator: Hello Javier, Namaste! Thank you very much for telling us about your amazing experience and saying kind things. It's great to hear that your Manaslu View Trek, which is also known as the Bhimtang Trek, was such a unique and remarkable excursion. Your honest description of the mountain vistas and ambiance really shows how beautiful this location is. Every sunrise over the Himalayas feels like a magical event, and every step brings you closer to nature's heart. We are so happy to hear that our guides, Karma Tamang and Sangam Magar, made your vacation even more special. We want all of our guides to be kind, knowledgeable, and competent. In this approach, our guests may not only see Nepal, but also feel it by meeting actual people who live there. The 6-day Manaslu Short Trek program was an excellent way to experience the Manaslu area in less time. This path definitely gives you one of the best brief Himalayan experiences in Nepal. It starts in the peaceful trails of Dharapani and Gho and ends in the beautiful alpine beauty of Bhimtang, Ponkkar Lake, and Nayamlo Glacier. We really appreciate that you wish to come back. You and other guests like you inspire us to keep delivering people great trips that include beautiful nature, friendly culture, and personal attention. We would love to help you locate more hidden gems in Nepal when you come back. The Annapurna Base Camp Trek, Upper Mustang, and even the Manaslu Circuit with Larkya La Pass are all instances. They all took the same amount of attention and love to make. Thank you so much, Javier, for letting Nepal Mother House Treks take you around the Himalayas. We can't wait for you to come back to Nepal for another great time. Until then, Namaste and good luck from the Himalayas! With all my heart, The Nepal Mother House Treks Team and Karna Rana

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
